I watched the trees blur by the windows as the train sped towards District 2. Arms wrapped around my waist and lips pressed against my shoulder. Legs tangled with mine as I sighed with pleasure.

"I can't do this Cato. How will I be able to sleep without your arms to keep the nightmares away?" I asked and rolled over to bury my head in his chest.

"You'll be fine. Your strong." He said kissing my head. "Will figure it out. We always do."

The sound of the waves pulled me from my memories and brought me back to reality. Reality. My memories are just as bad as reality. Why couldn't I die in the games. I can't be away from Cato.

Cheering poured into the train as the doors opened to District 4. I stepped on to the platform as cameras flashed and clapping and cheering blocked everything.

I walked through the crowds as the peacekeepers lead me to Victors Village. Yells of 'Odair' filled the air. I will now have my own house.

Once on the porch that was all decorated for my homecoming. I stood and waved for the cameras and smiled. My cheeks began to burn and go numb from so much smiling. Finally the cameras left with the crowds and I walked inside as night fell over the district.

I walked around the house and to my bedroom. I switched the light on. The bed was covered in white roses. I spun on my heel and flew down the stairs and out the door. Streetlights winked on as I sprinted to Finnick's house.

I threw the door opened and stumbled into the living room were Finnick sat with Annie. He stood up with a worried look. At some point I started crying as I told Finnick what was wrong. He lead me to my old bedroom and told me he'd clean up the mess.

My life is over. President Snow will forever hate Cato and me. I should have died. I can't live this way. Can't live my whole life pretending to be fine. I have to see Cato.

I left my secret beach and went to the market place. There I brought some books and some sugar cubes for Finnick. We both have more than enough money to spend on what ever we want. Finnick doesn't have to buy me medication or doctors anymore. I spend my days in the market or talking to Cato on the phone.

He never told me how he got the number, but we talk every other day. We both believe the phones are tapped and someone listens in on us. We have to be careful on what we say. Mostly we only talk about our nightmares, which prompted Cato to spend me a present.

I sat on a stool in my kitchen as Finnick put groceries away. He brought me some bread and pastries to but some weight on. A knock sounded at my door and he dropped a cake on the floor.

"Don't answer it."

"Miss. Odair! Open up! It's head peacekeeper Finch."

I slid off the stool as Finnick came around the table to grab my arm. I shook him off and walked to the door. Once the door was opened four peacekeepers stood on my porch and one was holding a large box, that was slightly shaking.

"Yes?" I asked as Finnick came up behind me.

"This arrived on a train today. It is yours. May we bring it in?" Finch asked and pushed himself into the house.

"Yes. Come in." I said closing the door behind them.

They walked to the living room and placed the box on the coffee table. The box began to jump and I grabbed it before it fell off the table.

I opened the box to find a sliver, almost blue kitten. A blue bow was wrapped around its throat, which the kitten was struggling to take off. A note detached itself from the bow and fluttered to the ground. Once the Peacekeepers saw it was a cat they lead themselves out.

Finnick bent to pick the note up and read it to me. It was from Cato. He sent me the cat because of my nightmares. He sent it to protect me from the nightmares because the cat's name was Cato. He is really original.

As I walked into Victors Village, Annie met me. She linked her arm with mine and asked what I brought. She led me to my house and rubbed my back.

"You're going to have to leave. Finnick is making me stay home. I'll miss you." She said kissing my cheek. "Tell Fin to be nice to Cato, he's very cute."

"I'll miss you too and I'll watch Fin."

I walked into my house were Finnick sat at the island, in the kitchen holding my cat, who was hissing at the many Capitol people walking around. Finnick looked at me with worried eyes and I furrowed my brows at him.

"Brook. 'Tis time to geth dressth." Ace sat grabbing my arm.

"Just a moment." Peacekeeper Finch said coming down the hallway. "The President Snow wants to talk with you first. Follow me Miss Odair."

I understand now why Finnick was so worried. Why is Snow here to see me? Snow didn't come and see Finnick before his tour of the districts. I followed him down the hall to the study room, that I have never been in before.

The door opened and President Snow sat behind the desk, dress in a white suit. White roses filled the room as sunlight filtered into the room.

"Come in Miss. Odair. We need to have a talk."
