chapter 6

Hayes POV
As I rush off stage and run around to look where Emma could have ran off to, I do nothing but worry. She is so important to me,I don't wanna lose her like everyone had left me."Emma"!!! I yell out. Just then Cameron and Aaron pop out and call out to me. "Hayes" I run to them hoping they know where she is. "Hayes you might wanna sit for this". Cameron says with tears in his eyes. Omg Emma's hurt or worse she's dying and I'm not there with her I should have ran after her as soon as she left. "Hayes Emma slit her arms really deep and she's in critical condition, they don't know if she'll make it". Aaron said balling his eyes out. My eyes start watering I bolted out of there as fast as possible. I need her I just got her I can't lose her I cant. I went to the only hospital there was and ran up to the front desk. "Are you here to see someone"? The nurse asked me. "U-um yeah E-Emma Carpenter". I asked stuttering "She's here but are you family"? The nurse asked. "I'm her boyfriend and her brother can't get her right away". "Room 226 2nd floor" she said "Thanks". I ran as fast as I could to the elevator. I ran and ran till I stood outside Emma's room. I hesitantly walked in and sat down. Tears ran down my cheeks as I saw what kind of state she was in. Breathing mask,ivs,blood seeping through her bandages. I whisper "why can someone do this to someone who loves everyone more than herself". Just then Emma starts to shift over and flutters her eyes open and looks at me. My heart stops and my eyes still filled with tears. "H-Hayes" Emma struggles to say. "Shhh baby girl it's me I'm here,and Aaron and the whole family is on there way". I say still sniffling and crying. "Hayes don't cry it breaks my heart to see you cry" She says "Well it breaks my heart to see you like this, you know you could have ran into my arms always". I sniffle out. "I know I just reached my breaking point, for the longest time I wanted to die" she slightly laughs as she cries. Then she continues "the tormenting, the beatings,everything just all hit me and everything from the past came back and at that moment dying was the only option". She finishes. "Emma...why didn't you tell me..." I say as I look at the ground. Emma lifts up my sleeve "Hayes...why are there cuts on your arm..."? "It's nothing I'm fine". I say "No your not that's what I used to say when I wasn't ..." Emma said "Don't walk down the path I did please..." she pleads. "I promise as long as you do". I say "I promise..." She says. I kiss her head and hold her hand as she falls back to sleep.
