First off let me say that this isn't really a designated x reader it's just kind of about the until dawn gang being there for you as friends

(Y/n) Pov

You don't know why you decided to go to Josh's New year's party. Maybe because he promised booze. Maybe it was because you couldn't stand sitting at home playing board games with your family and drinking sparkling red grape juice again. Maybe you just needed to get out. Whatever the case was you regretted coming.

Josh's parents had paid someone to construct a giant ball to drop at midnight so we didn't have to go to some crowded, freezing, uncomfortable ball drop somewhere else.

Naturally Josh invited the whole school. But only about half were there.

You were currently sitting on the couch nursing a red solo cup half filled with some cheap beer. You took a long swig as you glanced at the various couples scattered across the room. Matt and Jessica, Mike and Emily, Chris and Ashley then Josh and Sam.

Literally everyone in your friend group had someone. Everyone but you. You finished off your beer and tossed the cup onto the floor.

You stood up and angrily stomped off towards the kitchen to find the stronger booze you know Josh has hidden somewhere. When you entered the kitchen, you were surprised but relieved to find it empty of people. After about 5 minuets of angry and stress induced searching you found a bottle of whiskey.

You glanced your phone to see what time it was. '11:40. Great.' You thought to yourself. You screwed off the cap to the whiskey and began aggressively chugging it down.

When the bottle was about halfway empty you heard the door burst open and someone come in.

"(Y/n), are you okay?"

You looked up from the floor to see Matt hovering nearby. You hadn't even realized that you had begun crying but apparently you did.

"Yeah I'm fine." You mumbled under your breath.

He sat down next to you without another word and lazily rested his head on your shoulder. "You can talk to me you know." He stated quietly.

"I'm just sick of being alone." You whispered after a minute of comfortable silence.

"What?" Matt asked, playing dumb.

"You know what. Everyone is together. You and Jess, Mike and Em... The list goes on and on and yet I'm still single. Am I really that unlovable?" You cried harder as you trailed off towards the end of your sentence.

"(Y/n), that's absolutely crazy!" Matt exclaimed as he wrapped a comforting arm around you. "I know tons of people that love you! In fact... I'll be right back." He sprung up quickly and dashed out of the room leaving you dazed with streams of mascara still running down your face.

A few minutes later, Matt returned with the entire gang. Even Emily was there. They all sat around you on the floor. Ashley handed you some tissues, that you happily accepted.

"What's going on (y/n)?" Sam asked in her typical "mom" voice.

"Nothing.. I'm just lonely I guess." You shrugged.

"How can you be lonely in a house full of people?" Mike questioned you, seeming confused.

Josh elbowed him in the side. "What Mike means to say," Josh started, "Is that we're all here for you."

"Yeah!" Chris chimed in, "There's no way I'm going to let you horde the rest of that whiskey anyways." Before you could respond, Chris snatched the bottle off of the floor, causing you to giggle.

"Now, let's get you cleaned up." Jessica laughed as she pulled a package of makeup remover wipes from her bag. She began to wipe off the mascara smears while Emily pulled out her makeup bag from her purse. You raised an eyebrow at her.

"Oh don't make such a big deal out of this (y/n) I just can't let you go back out there looking like a mess." Emily gave you a wink and quickly went to work.

A few minutes later you were all fixed up thanks to Emily and Jessicas makeup skills.

"What time is it?" Ashley suddenly asked.

You check your phone. "11:58"

"We're going to miss it! Everyone outside!" Josh yelled.

Everyone scrambled to get to the backdoor. You didn't know who was pulling you, but you ended up standing with your group of friends in Josh's backyard waiting for the ball to drop.

Your heart rate picked up as you stared at the shining crystal ball. The new year is coming. We will never get this time back. 'I'm not ready!' You internally panic. You thought you were going to have a panic attack until you felt Josh and Sam each take one of your hands.

"Don't worry (y/n). You'll be okay, and you will always have us here with you." Sam whispered as she squeezed your hand.

"Three....."

"Everyone group selfie!" Jessica yelled.

"Two....."

"Chris stop stepping on my foot!" Mike laughed.

"One!! Happy New year!"

Maybe you couldn't stop things from changing and maybe you're not currently dating anyone but you knew that you would be okay. You knew your amazing friends would always stand by you no matter what happens. And that was good enough for you.
