[4] Just Friends

I guess you could say that everything went successful in the end after this, but to be honest... nothing ends without a little struggle for success. Well, that's what me-... WE did, and it was no piece of cake, I'll tell you that. Lots of lies, truths, promises and fakes one too. Lust, purity, freedom, friendship, love, and happiness of course.

I'd love to think that friendship could help two lovers, but that doesn't mean it always has to be. But it all depends on the eyes of the beholder. I just love to see how friends could build that trust, their love, everything between those kind of stuff. Yeah, honestly, it started when we were just friends.

"Lake! Lake! Get up!" Lake heard a voice from outside her door, which the blue troll could definitely hear. It wasn't Seana, but she recognized that voice anywhere... Aster. Lake heard another unpleasant knock from her wooden door, so Lake quickly got up from where she was sleeping and headed to the door and opened it, hearing a slightly loud creak. "What now, Aster?"

"Have you seen Seana? She's gone from the hospital! And others found you with her. Where is she, Lake?" Aster said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. Once those words were heard, Lake definitely was wide awake now. "U-Uhhhhhh..."

"Let me through, Lake. Now." Aster gave her a stern look, a bit demanding. Lake just stood still, which gave Aster an opportunity to push her aside an enter her pod. The male troll investigated around her pod, but saw no sign of Seana. Was Lake dreaming all along? Lake couldn't believe it, where did she go? "I-I promise Aster, I-."

"Alright, I believe you. Just make sure your girlfriend shows up." Aster chuckled, then Lake blushed madly, her eye twitching. She glared at Aster, with her face completely red like a potato. "She is not my girlfriend! We're just friends!"

"Sureeeeee~" Aster continued to tease, chuckling as he walked out of her pod, he glanced back at her and grinned, showing his teeth as if he was innocent. Lake just huffed at him. "Leave. Now."

"Alright, alright! Jeez... grumpy much?" Aster laughed, leaving once he was away from Lake's pod. The blue troll sighed in relief, but then she crossed her arms and grumbled to herself. "I'm not gay..."

"Hey! Lakey!" Seana popped out from inside the closet, smiling widely from ear to ear. Lake turned to her, hoping that Seana didn't hear what Lake just said. Seana stepped out of the closet, fixing up her clothes and hair as she smiled. "You didn't think I would leave, did you?"

"O-Oh um..." She was honestly speechless. Just then, from behind Seana, Lake saw a window with Aster there, he was waving a flag which seemed to be like a rainbow colored one. Lake's jaw dropped, and her eye twitched again. Seana noticed the other's actions and decided to try turning around. "Is something behind me-?"

"N-No! There's nothing!" Lake said before putting the curtains over all the windows, sweating nervously from her face. The turquoise colored troll raised her eyebrow, confused and a bit concerned for her bae. (A/M: I'm so sorry somethings wrong with me rn) "Is... everything alright, Lake?"

"Yep, yep! Definitely!" Lake pushed the hair strands of hair from her face, back. The blue troll was grinning widely, hoping that she didn't let her see anything. Stupid Aster.

"Is it working...?" One asked, and the other nodded, giving a straight face. He looked down and glanced at the shimmering water that reflected them, but then changed into a clear view of two certain trolls. "Perfect. I feel greatly sorry, but this is for the best."
