Chapter 13
Just as I expected, the car ride was long and silent. For the most part. The only thing Mila said to me was,
"Kyle, I'll explain everything when we get to my house."
All I could do was nod. I can not believe I was right. Vampires are real. My meltdown a few days ago wasn't for nothing..... I wasn't crazy. Well, as far as I know.
We arrived a Mila's house. It was so small. She seemed so high class. This came as a surprise to me. It was painted white with a light blue door. There was 2 windows framing the small door. I couldn't see through them. They looked a lot like stickers. We got out of the car and went it. The place was very.....strange. There was candles lit everywhere, and the sofa was an antique red and black. So was the chair. And the carpet was black hard wood. The walls weren't much different. And there was a chandelier hanging dead center on the ceiling. There was a vase with red roses on a glass table. There were no stairs and only one other door. Is was like stepping into the twilight zone. Happy, friendly, neighbor on the outside and gothic chamber on the inside.
"Welcome to my house."
All I managed to get out was...
"It's um......where are.....can I....."
Nothing I was trying to say came out. Just fragments. But she answered everything I was thinking.
"Gothic? Creepy? Weird? Yeah, it is but I like it. I don't have parents. And you can sit down on the chair. Let me just. Explain everything."
"How did you know what I was going to ask you?"
"She kinda has this little power."
"Allie I can answer my self, and no I don't have a power.... I'm a..."
"A what?"
She didn't answer. She looked ashamed. She didn't want to tell me I could tell. She looked down at the ground then back up at me.
"A vampire....."
She said barely above a whisper. But I herd her loud and clear. A vampire. I felt my eyes widen and my heart speed up. The last thing I saw before I fainted was Mila run over with speed. Faster than light and I fell in her arms. Out cold. In a vampires house. Alone. This is not gonna end well.
