When the bell rang for lunch Joe walked out of English and saw Demi a few feet away, she looked like she was looking for someone and when their eye's met for the first time it was obviously him. She smiled the most adoring smile at him. He walked toward her reaching his hand for hers. His touch sent shivers down Demi's back. She couldn't believe the guy in front of her was finally hers. Soon Joe placed a sweet kiss on hers lips
"Demi?" Joe shook Demi causing her to wake up. To her surprise everything that happened was all a dream. "Remember I needed to talk to you" he reminded her. She was still half asleep.
Demi: "oh um yeah" she said still a little off guard. She rubbed her eyes. "What's up?"
Joe: "I just wanted to say, that ah, well that"
Demi: "what Joe, just say it" she said kind of annoyed.
Joe: "I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to yell at Miley like that. I know you got upset about that. I was just being.."
Demi: "protective?" She finished his sentence.
Joe: "yeah" he half smiled.
Demi: "anything else?" She asked hoping her dream might come true.
Joe: "well.." Demi got a text, interrupting what Joe was about to say, from Zac that said "can't wait too see you" and that instantly knocked down all confidence to tell Demi how he felt. His heart dropped to his stomach. Demi quickly locked her iPhone hoping Joe didn't see it. "Well, what?" She asked quickly.
Joe: "I hope your date with Zac goes good, you're a great girl" he said with disappointment. "It's getting late so I'm gonna go home" he half smiled.
Demi: "oh, that's all you wanted to say?" She said disappointed as well. She knew her dream was too good to be true.
Joe: "yeah" he lied before getting up to go.
Demi: "bye Joe" she half smiled pretending not to be disappointed.
Joe: "bye" he half smiled back.
When Joe got down Demi's window he cursed to himself in frustration to why he didn't just tell her but he knew it was probably already too late.
