I  walked the long, grand hall and waved to the maids, giving them a smile. I aimed for the large impressive doors at the very end of the hall. This particular hall led me to the lift. I suppose growing up in this palace had its advantages, as I had gotten to know every hall and passageway through the years. As I came to the end I pressed the button and waited. The lift did eventually arrive, albeit there were a lot of floors for it to adhere to. I got in and pressed 'Alice's apartment' this was the only lift that went to my apartment and it was only used by royalty, or any attendant. My apartment, which was an entire floor, was situated at the very top floor and I was well aware of how long the lift could take to get there.

So I decided to text my friend,. 'Hey, just got at my aunt's wuu2?xxxx' They replied instantly. 'When aren't you at hers?;) haha nothing, watching a DVD with Ben xx'

I replied 'Awesome' and then heard the lift bell go, we weren't at my section yet. I quickly put my IPhone 6s in my bra quickly and looked up. A tall gentlemen stood in the now open doors. He had dark brown hair, surrounded by bright blue eyes. Stubble decorated his sharp jawline below his structured cheekbones. He looked slightly older than me. "Going up?" He asked, the only floor up was mine. I nodded and looked at my feet. "Same" He smiled as the doors closed. "So, do you know this Alice girl? Remunda sent me up here to say hello." He looked down at me, I was rather petite.

I chuckled, looked up and raised a brow as I said "Did she now?" I smiled. "Well, she's a real drag, getting told what to do twenty-four seven. She has these girls that she hates follow her around like little lost puppies and then there's Liam.. Let's just say they don't get along" I winked and laughed.

"Oh really?" He asked. "Well I hear she's pretty hot." At that I sighed.

"Is that the only thing that tempted you to go see her, other than the fact Remunda told you?" My smile fell.

"Not really, everyone keeps going on about her, yet she's never in the eye of the press and not many get to see her. Which is remarkable considering they try to get spys in here and everything" He said looking a bit more serious. "Not really, you just have to get to know people first. They wouldn't let anyone in that she didn't know first" I said thinking nothing of it.

"Really?" He asked, I nodded.

"Unless they're really important or got royal blood" I said looking up at him properly, with an accusing facial expression. The bell went, I coughed. "Excuse the mess" I said mumbling as I got out the lift, he followed.

"Wait, you're Alice?" He said, dumbfounded, as he did I turned around to face him.

"Well, yeah." I stood looking at him with my hands upon my hips. He immediately bowed. Which caused me to frown further.
"Oh save that crap" I sighed. My phone went in my bra, My ringtone went, "Justin Bieber - Despacito?" He raised a brow, I nodded awkwardly and excused my self from that room. I took my phone out and answered it, it was Emma. "Alice you've got Jack in some serious trouble! Remunda's having a massive go at him!" I could hear shouting in the background. I ran back into the hall "Wait a sec, I'm coming down." I put the phone down, and running down the spiral staircase leaving the new stranger to stay there. It took every breath out of me to sprint in to that room and scream Remundas name angrily.
"Yes Ma'am?" She asked quietly, she almost looked scared. Jack, Liam, Emma and Roxy all looked shocked. "I'd like to talk to you" Remunda followed me.

"You are NEVER to fire Jack, got it? I don't care if he's too old or too slow or anything, you will never fire him, ever!" I felt the stranger come into the room but I ignored it as my blood boiled at Remunda's audacity.

"Ye-ye-ye-yes Ma'am" she nodded, looked at the boy behind me and left to go back from where we came.

I turned around to leave and sighed as I saw him. I walked towards him "If Remunda or the queen has put you up to this, then leave me alone" I said as I walked back and into the lift. A guard ran up and came in "I've got your things miss" He stated, I held the doors open and took them from him.
"I can manage" I smiled at the man, I felt his eyes on me. The guard left and doors closed, I could feel his gaze right until the doors had closed. I waited for the lift to go up. I got in to my apartment and then snook back down with my things. I ran for the front door when I noticed him.
"Going some where?" He smiled slyly, he wore a smug facial expression with a raised eyebrow. Somehow, as I glanced into those Ice-blue eyes, I realised a part of me wanted to melt into his coldness. I saw Liam walking from behind him, elegantly walking as if he owned the doorway in which we were taking up, to beside him. I'd got changed into a navy blue dress with white spots and two rose flowers in the material on my right shoulder, the exact same one I had been debating wearing earlier, so now me and Liam looked like we had co-ordinated outfits.  "I think you should take him with you" Liam chuckled deep and menacingly.

"You would" I walked past, they both grabbed my arm abruptly, to the point where I was worried my arms would bruise. I turned from Liam to the mysterious man. At which he nodded at me and gave me a 'you should probably listen' look, to which I rolled my eyes and glared at both of them.
