Final Author's Note

Hi, everyone! I wanted to take a moment to write out a thank you for all of the support you guys have given Pain. Writing this story has certainly been a journey. I began writing it at the very beginning of 2014, and I managed to finally get it finished on the very last day of 2017 lol. When I started writing this, I didn't really have a solid idea of where it was going to go, but I'm pleased with the way it ended up. I hope you are as well.

Throughout the process of writing Pain, I had numerous episodes of writer's block, a bunch of missed updates, a few months worth of breaks from writing on Wattpad altogether, but finally after three years we have made it to the end. Thank you all so much for reading, and for those of you who have been here since the beginning, thank you for being patient with me. I appreciate you all so much.

This story, although not my best work for the first bunch of chapters, is very special to me. Pain is one of the first stories I ever posted on Wattpad, and is the first one that I posted that I actually kept up without thought of taking down. My writing skills developed immensely throughout the process of writing this, as I'm sure you can tell if you look at the first chapters lol. I have learned a lot about writing and I have also discovered a lot about the way I personally like to write. This story has definitely helped me a lot with creativity and finding what I like and don't like about my own writing habits, and it has given me the inspiration to continue writing other stories as well.

I have honestly enjoyed writing Pain so much, and I wouldn't have gotten this far with it if it weren't for your continuous support. The reads, votes, and comments keep me motivated, and I thank you for that.

This book will eventually undergo major editing, so the first however many chapters will definitely for sure be changed drastically. Obviously the storyline will not be effected, but I will be adding things, taking things out, and just improving the overall flow of the story. You can re-read once editing is done if you wish, because I'm sure the beginning especially will be much more enjoyable to read, but nothing major will be altered, so you won't be missing anything if you choose not to.

I do have a question regarding editing, though, if any of you are able to answer. If I were to take Pain down (unpublish the chapters temporarily) so that I can fix the chapters and re-upload them as I complete them, will I lose all of the current reads/votes/comments, or will they still be there as long as I don't actually delete the parts? I would hate to take it down for editing if I will lose all the progress that we've made. If you know how that works, please take a second to let me know.
