-Christmas Eve-
The morning light shined brightly through my window, I groaned and closed the blinds. I grab my phone and look through the notifications, nothing as always. "Morning sleepy head." Lloyd grinned.

"No morning." I whined and pulled the blankets over me.

"Come on." He pulls the blankets off me and opens the blinds, I hissed and closed my eyes. He paused and looked out the window, "What happened to her?" He asks. I look out with him and sighed.

-Flash Back-

I walked in to Alissa's room, she paced around the room. Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It made me more anxious so I grabbed her shoulders and she stopped, she bit her lip. "What's wrong?"

"I can't stay here." She whispers. "I need to go and I just," she pauses and sighs, "I wanted to say don't forget me." I pull her in to a hug while she sobbed in to my chest.

"You're not gonna leave, I won't let you."

"Just for a few days, I promise."

"Come back for Christmas."  She nods and grabbed her already packed bag.

"I'll come back, I promise." Watching her climb out the window and run in to the shadows of the night, I've never felt so dull in my life.

-Present-

I looked out my bedroom window, gazing at Alissa's bedroom. A tear rolled down my cheek but I wiped it away and closed my window shut along with my curtains. I slowly walked down the stairs to see everyone so talkative. "Morning." Lloyd smiles at me, "What's wrong?" He frowns instantly.

"Nothing." Not even my smile reaches my face, he shrugs and continues talking like nothing is wrong with me. "I'm going to my room, I'm not really hungry right now." I say but no one hears me so I just go back upstairs.

I shut my door and collapse on my bed, sighing out of stress and cuddle up to my pillow. My mind fell asleep before my body could, I could feel the weight behind me in my bed shift and small pair of warm arms wrapped around my waist. Before I could move I fell in to a deep sleep.

-Two Hours Later-

The sun shined through the crack of the blinds, I groaned and stretched but immediately stopped moving, almost stopped breathing, when I felt a puff of hot air hit my arm. I slowly and carefully turned around not to wake up the person behind me or whatever it was and saw someone I thought I'd never see again. Tears rolled down my cheeks as she furrowed her brows and opened her eyes, she smiled silently. "Hi Nick." Her voice boomed in my ears, as if I just met her.

"Alissa." I sobbed and held her tightly to me.

"I came through the back door and snuck up here to see you asleep so I cuddled up behind you and just listened to your breathing which eventually put me to sleep." She kissed my nose. "Don't cry my dear, I'm here now." She smiles and wraps her arms around my waist.

"I just wanna stay like this for a little longer." She nods and we fall back asleep.

-Dream-

I'm at the beach again, there is no dream girl this time. A bright light shines in the sky, it gets brighter and brighter. I squint and look away but the sunlight drowns me in. Everything dark, nothing but complete darkness. I can feel myself falling but for some reason, it's comforting.

-End of Dream-

I wake up to Alissa shaking me. "Get up you were crying in your sleep." She hugged me and sighed. "What do you dream about?"

"It was different this time, it felt comfortable but in a strange way."

"Tell me about it." She crosses her legs and stares at me attentively.

"Okay," I sigh, "I was at the beach and there was a bright light in the sky. It blinded me and I was consumed I darkness, I was falling but I felt safe and comfortable then you woke me up." She lays her head on my shoulder silently. "What did you dream about?"

"I didn't get any sleep." She shrugs.

"Why not? Are you okay?"

"Just nervous about what my parents will say." She sighs and rubs her temples, "They're going to be so mad at me for running away."

"Let's just do it and get it over with." I sit up and grab my shoes. "Come on, I'll be right here." I hold out my hand for her, she takes it hesitantly.

We climb down my window and walk to the front door. She looks at the door for a few minutes before ringing the doorbell. Jacob opens the door and the first thing he spots is Alissa. "Alissa." He whimpers and pulls her close to him. "Anna! Alissa is back!" Anna ran over and they group hugged.

"Where was she?" Anna asked.

"No clue, she came in to my room today." I shrug and watch as they all hug and shed a few tears.

"We can all have a Christmas together." Jacob smiles and kisses the top of Alissa's head.
