Daemon's face showed a mixture of rage and anger. Also, his shoulders were rising very fast from his uncontrolled breathing. I was thinking of what I could say to make him feel better but, in all honesty, I didn't know what. After all, I had only met him tonight.
All of a sudden he let out an angry scream, then turned around and punshed the next wall. A brick wall, may I add. He swore loudly not bothering to keep his voice down, there was no one around anyway.
It took me a couple of seconds until I realised what just happened. Then I stormed towards him carefully taking his trembling hand in mine. "Oh my God, this looks..." I was actually not sure what to name it but, it was very bloody and I wasn't sure if that was a bone I could see there. Oh God, I hate blood, it always makes me feel drowsy. And so it was not that surprising to find me puking my guts out only a moment later.
Fifteen minutes later Daemon and I were arguing who was more fit to drive us to the hospital. I won.The drive went by quickly and now I was waiting for Daemon in the waiting room whilst he got treated by the doctor.
I really don't like hospitals, they make me feel sick and on edge. The smell is always an awful mixture of old people and disinfectant. But, truth be told my phobia of hospitals might be caused by experience. When I was three years old I was at hospital for admission. They thought I had the Kawasaki disease. If I would have had that I wouldn't be standing here right now because it always ends deadly. Thankfully, I guess, I was there for only some time. Now, I always say that it was months because in all honesty it felt like that I actually saw the snow coming and going.... Mom says that it was only three weeks but, hey I was three so time was different for me!
"ALENIA!!!"
I shrunk back into my chair only to find Daemon standing in front of me with a concerned face.
"Daemon! Is everything alright? What did the doctor say about-"
I started babbling but was interrupted.
"I should be the one asking that. I've been calling you five times! What's up with you?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine." When I saw the look he was giving me I quickly added "Really. Now what did the doctor say about your hand?"
"Okay, if you say so..." he obviously didn't believe me.
"And it's broken, the hand I mean. I should give it a couple of weeks to heal. But, there's a catch, I can't drive."
"I could drive you to your place and then I could walk myself home."
"And get grabbed by a murderer?! No way! I'll bring you to your place and I might just ignore the doctor's advise for a sec. It's more of a suggestion anyway!"
"No, I won't let you hurt yourself!"
"Alright, so what? I stay at yours?"
"YEAH!"
"You do know that we don't really know each other?"
"Yes? So what? It's not as if you were royalty!"
"Yeah, you sure got that right." He scratched his neck whilst laughing but there was something to it. I couldn't pinpoint it but, it was odd.
