For the past few days my phone has been blowing up from Daniel and Jonah. I don't even know what I want anymore.
My phone started ringing and I assumed it was Jonah.
"Jonah I don't want to talk about it anymore leave me alone."
"Aaliyah?"
My heart stopped. The first time I heard his voice in almost a week.
"Jack?"
Its silent.
"Before you hang up I just wanted to tell you i'm waiting outside your house."
"What?"
"Please come down and open the door it's cold."
I hung up and ran down stairs. Wait why am I so excited?
I open the door and see Jack standing with a bundle of flowers and chocolate.
"I brought you flowers and chocolate since I know it's that time of the month." He walks into my house and puts the flowers on the counter.
"What are you doing?"
"Apologizing"
"With flowers and chocolate cause i'm on my period?"
He nods but then changes his mind He shakes his head undecided.
"Is that bad?"
I shake my head and cross my arms. "You can't just come into my house and expect me to forgive you."
"Listen i'm here now. We are going to talk about everything. We are going to talk about your new swim suit line, your school, your new favorite color cause i know you change it all the time, and of course your mom."
He takes off his jacket and walks up the stairs. "Come on." He smiles. Fuck I missed that smile so much.
I follow behind him and shut my bedroom door. He pats the bed and I sit.
His hand reaches to my face and his thumb rubs my cheek. "I missed you so much."
I didn't say anything I just say with a straight face. He went in for a kiss but I push him back.
"We aren't together anymore."
He sighs and crosses his legs. "If I could ask you to marry me right now I would"
"Where did that come from?"
"Just wanted you to know."
I roll my eyes and played with the lose string on my leggings.
"So tell me about school"
"It's good. Super stressful but I got to get through it."
"I know your bathing suit collection is doing amazing. I see it everywhere." He says.
"Really?" My eyes met him.
"Yes. And i'm not gonna lie I bought a few pairs just to give you sales." He laughs and I join.
"What do you do with them?"
"Corbyn gave them to Christina." I laugh.
"I missed that smile. I feel like I haven't seen it in years."
"That's because I don't smile anymore."
He stayed quiet and just stared at me.
" I really want to do this now." He got up from the bed and got down on one knee.
"Jack Avery I know you aren't purposing to me right now." I say. He shakes his head.
Before he could answer my mom comes through the door. "Oh my god what is going on."
"I'm not purposing to your daughter i'm giving her a promise ring."
He pulls a white box from his pocket.
"This is me promising you that I will love you forever. i will be with you throw all the ups and downs. I will forever stay loyal to you and will marry you one day. I promise."
Little tears form in my eyes. "I promise." I say back to him. He smiles and opens the box. There was a beautiful diamond ring.

"Are you sure that's a promise ring? Thats bigger then my wedding ring." My mom says. Jack laughs.
He slips it on my finger and kisses my hand. I pull him onto me so he falls on top of me.
I laugh and place my lips on his. I heard my door shut slightly.
"You did not get me this ring." I say looking at it.
"I might have got a little to carried away in the place, I started looking at wedding rings and even tried one on." He laughs.
I place out foreheads together and smile.
"I'm so sorry Aaliyah. I never meant to not be there for you. You just seemed so happy all the time. I never wanted to make you feel like I didn't care."
