Lying on Kai's old bed, Cole thought deeply about what he had done. He'd left the people he  thought he cared most about and who he thought cared about him. He'd left the people who had made him who he was. He'd left the people who believed him to be a murderer and he sort of felt good about it sort pf didn't. This surge of anger towards his friends made his blood pump faster through his body, yet he didn't feel uncomfortable. What was so special about him now? What was he so important for and why that creature wanted him for that spell? Whatever that creature did had pushed him away from all that he cared about and now he was quite possibly alone  and vulnerable. He suddenly thought, if he was there on that island for the rest of his life which he doubted, there wouldn't be any cake.He would have to go back to the mainland at some point to get some food, maybe not cake but at last something to last him the week. He decided not to think about his survival and began to sing to himself, it was his favourite song, Death of a Bachelor by Panic at the Disco. Cole had told his friends that he hated performing music because his father had forced him into it, yet he was actually a true musician. He played piano at Grade 9, sang almost like Brendan Urie from Panic and could play all string, tuned percussion and brass instruments incredibly well. He only kept this from his friends because he felt he would embarrass himself, plus he didn't want to get taken back to the past he wished he hadn't had to fulfil. He hated it at that school he was forced to go to. He wished it had never happened, then again, if it didn't he probably wouldn't have met his past friends, found his true elemental potential and if it wasn't for him, he wouldn't have freed Jerahn and his friends from under Sensei Yang's curse. He had to go back to talk to Yang, but undercover. He would be spotted easily if he came walking through the front door, he couldn't go back. Cole wished there was someone to talk to, someone who would understand what he was going through. Maybe he could talk to Skylor. She would be the only one who would understand the disappearance of a mother, pushed out for being accused of evil, living life freely on her own. He decided it would be too risky to go to her by dragon, the others would notice. He wondered if his new super speed would be able to take him across the water without him falling in. He got dressed into his black hoodie, black skinny jeans and left the rest of his things, including his scythe as he knew he wouldn't need it. He crossed the water to Ninjago Bay and came to a halt behind a forest of towering blossom trees. He'd been gone from Ninjago for three weeks and it looked more beautiful than he remembered. He lowered his hood, making sure his face and hair was hidden. He looked back in the direction of Chen's island at the sunset.  He watched with an unwavering gaze, as a fiery red orb of light slowly sank beneath the horizon, and threads of light lingered in the sky, mingling with the rolling clouds, dyeing the heavens first orange, then red, then dark blue, until all that was left of the sunset was a chalky mauve, and then that melted away in turn as stygian darkness took over the sky. Sequin-silver stars like the glowing embers of a dying fire winked down at him, illuminating the atramentous curtain of sky, and then suddenly the clouds parted, and he found himself looking at a lustrous, argent disc casting brilliant rays of moonlight onto the dark bay, coating it in a soft milky glow. Cole finally decided to make a move and made his way through the clump of trees, trying to keep as well hidden as possible. His dark clothes helped him as he could camouflage with the darkness of the cold, breezy night. This was only until he came up to a road leading into Ninjago city where he noticed an bright orange glow not to far away. He kept track of the glow as he found his way through the maze of the city until he reached the heart of the glow. Chen's Noodle Palace was on fire. He kept his hood low as he approached, noticing Kai and Zane desperately trying to put out the fire with their powers combined, but the blaze blew out of control. He decided he would confront them and try to assist.

"What are you doing? Where's Nya?" Cole noticed the mixture of tears and sweat in Kai's face. Kai jumped out of his skin and turned to Cole crushing him in a big bear hug.

"She's inside the building, with Jay, unconscious, Jay called us and he sounded like he was just loosing consciousness too," Kai gulped.

"Your fire and Zane's ice won't work, I'll go inside first and grab Nya and Jay, also by the way is there anyone else we should be concerned about?" Cole asked.

"Jay got everyone out before the fire got out of control, besides, you won't survive it in there, It's far too dangerous." Kai snapped trying again with his and Zane's powers.

"Your water is only helping it to grow," Cole jumped through the flames and into the building, where he saw Jay and Nya lying unconscious heads on each others' shoulders. He grabbed them by their waists flung them onto his shoulders and carried them outside where he was greeted by cheers and clapping. He then went back inside the building. The fire didn't seem to harm him, it felt like he was absorbing it. Standing in the middle of the room, he allowed the fire to dance around him, as he absorbed it into his fingertips. After a few minutes of doing this, the fire had completely disappeared, leaving him in the middle of the burnt, black wreckage of Chen's Noodle Palace. Cole stared at his hands for a while before exiting what used to be a restaurant to see Kai and Zane gawping at him. Had he just absorbed a whole out of control fire, just by standing in the middle of a room? Zane walked up to Cole, put a hand on his shoulder and pulled him into a heartwarming hug, Kai joined in and they held it for about five minutes, before realising that they had to take Nya and Jay home.
