Lexi's POV:
"Hurry up! We're going to miss the plane!" I screamed behind me to my best friends Maddie and Chloe who were panting and trying to keep up with me. All eyes were on us in the airport as we raced down the hallway to try to catch our plane to the Bahamas.
"What gate was the plane leaving from again Lex?!" Chloe yelled. I looked at our tickets in my hand.
"Gate A16! It's right there, I see it!" I yelled back as I ran as fast as I could with the huge suitcase that held all of my belongings behind me to the gate.
"Flight 642 to the Bahamas boarding now. Last call," Called the flight attendent on the intercom. We sprinted the last few steps and got to the desk just in time for the lady to check our tickets. I handed her all of our tickets.
"Running a little late, are we girls?" The lady asked with a laugh.
"Long story.. Sorry we were so late, we didn't mean to cause any trouble," I answered out of breath. The lady smiled and scanned the tickets.
"Don't worry about it sweeties. Here you go," She handed us the tickets, "Have fun on your trip ladies,"
"Oh we will!" Smiled Maddie still breathing heavy.
We walked down the jetway to get to the plane. "First class girlies! I cannot wait to get to the Bahamas! This vacation will be legendary!" Chloe exclaimed as she skipped ahead of us.
"How does that girl still have so much energy?" Maddie asked. We both laughed as we boarded the plane and took our seats in first class.
"Attention passengers, please turn off all electronic devices and turn your attention to the safety video on the screens," The captain announced. The video went over basic procedures and warnings as usual and after it was finished a flight attendent came onto the intercom. "The flight from Los Angeles to the Bahamas should take around 9 hours. Our in-flight movies will be The Proposal and The Notebook. The plane will be taking off momentarily," The intercom turned off.
Maddie suddenly grabbed my hand. "Man I hate flying," She said nervously.
"Don't worry Mads we'll keep you safe," Chloe said reassuringly grabbing her other hand.
The plane took off and about a half an hour later, a flight attendent announced that we could take our ipods, computers, etc. out. I took out my ipod from my pink bag and put the earphones in my ear. I browsed through all of my songs and decided on Everything About You by One Direction, my favorite band. Since I was sitting next to the window, I rested my head on the wall of the plane and drifted off to sleep.
I woke up five hours later to find both the girls crying while watching The Notebook on the screen infront of them. I rolled my eyes and decided to take out the magazine from Chloe's bag that was filled with candy and gum that she bought on our way to the gate at one of the stores that sells food and souvenirs and things which was the whole reason why we were late to the flight.
"After you finish reading give it to me so I can read it too. There is an article about One Direction that I've been dying to read," Chloe said while wiping the tears away from her eyes.
"Give it to me after Chlo," Maddie said without looking away from the movie. "Ok Maddiekinz!" Chloe said while turning her attention back to the movie.
I opened the magazine and started flipping through the pages. I finally found the article about the boys. It was titled, "One Direction's Concert Tour is Officially Sold Out," I read the artlicle smiling at how sucessful the boys have gotten pretty much all around the world. Ugh. If I could only meet those boys, my life would be complete. God they are so beautiful. I closed the magazine and handed it to Chloe. Instead of on the window, I rested my head on Maddie's shoulder and drifted back off to sleep.
