Game Changer (A One Direction Fan Fiction)

Chapter 2: The Hotel

I woke up to the sound of a flight attendent's voice on the intercom.

"Please put your chairs back in the upright position and make sure all your items are properly stowed under your seats. We will be landing in about 5 minutes. The current time in The Bahamas is 9:30 pm. We hope you all enjoyed your flight," The intercom switched off.

Getting off the airplane and walking through the airport was all a blur because of the large amount of people around us trying to get their bags and get out as quickly as possible. Eventually we all got outside the airport doors to the passenger pickup. As soon I walked outside, the warm summer breeze that only the Bahamas could offer even at night, hit my face making me smile. We all sat on a nearby bench and not even a minute later, a black range rover pulled up and out came my Uncle and Aunt. My Uncle Alex was an attractive, muscly man with blue eyes and long blonde hair which suprisingly looked good on him. His wife, my Aunt Christina who I've known since the day I was born, was also very attractive but was quite skinny, and had brown hair with green eyes. They were both around 30 and they looked like they haven't changed one bit since the last time I saw them. 

I ran first to my aunt and hugged her tightly. "Aunt Christina! I wasn't expecting you to come pick us up too!" I let go of her and hugged my uncle, "Uncle Alex! You look so old!" I said jokingly and let go. "Just kidding. You both look exactly the same since I last saw you! How long has it been?"

"About 4 years," My uncle said with a smile. "We missed you Lex. It's nice to know you still have that bubbly personality!" 

I smiled and turned to Maddie and Chloe. "Maddie and Chloe, meet my Uncle Alex and my Aunt Christina. Uncle Alex and Aunt Christina, meet Maddie and Chloe," They all shook hands. 

"Nice to meet you girls," My Uncle said.

"Nice to meet you too," Maddie and Chloe said simultaneously while giggling. 

"Come on girls, lets put your suitcases and things in the car," My aunt suggested with a smile. We put all of our stuff in the trunk and got into the car. 

"You girls will love the new hotel. We just remodeled part of it and it was just reviewed as the best hotel in the Atlantis Resort and all of the Bahamas," My uncle said proudly while starting the car.

"Wait.. I thought you just managed the hotel," Chloe said. 

"No silly, we own it!" My aunt laughed. 

"Woah.. That. Is. Awesome! This is officially going to be the best vacation ever!" Maddie said looking like she was going to explode with happiness.

The rest of the way to the hotel we talked and laughed about different things and once we got to the hotel, we unloaded all of our bags and walked in. 

The hotel was beautiful. It was dazzling, gorgeous, amazing. I glanced over at Maddie and Chloe and both of their jaws were open so wide that if they opened any wider then they would hit the ground. There was a huge fountain on the left side of the hotel with sofas, chairs, and tables.  Straight ahead were white columns with elaborate designs of shells, fish, and waves in the middle of the hotel. Past it was the hallway that held the elevators that went up to the rooms, to the left of it were the huge glass doors leading outside to the pools, and to the right was glass doors leading to a mall that was connected to the hotel. To the right of us was the reception desk and behind it, a huge fish tank that held every type of fish you could imagine.  Everything looked so elegant, yet tropical, going with the theme of the Atlantis Resort.

"Umm ladies," My Aunt said taking us out of our awe from the hotel, "We checked you in and you have one of the two penthouses on the top floor all to yourself, room 2402," She handed me three room keys, "Go get yourself settled in, get a good night sleep, and meet us back down here near the reception desk tomorrow morning at 11:00. Our room is on the floor below yours, room 2302 if you need anything but we'll be down here a little longer because we have to work some things out. We'll see you tomorrow, goodnight girls." My Aunt and Uncle hugged me, waved goodbye to Maddie and Chloe, and walked over to the reception desk. 

We walked over to the elevator and I pressed the level 24 button. We arrived at our level and I used my key to get into our room. The room was just as amazing as the lobby. It had the same designs with the shells and waves and things, but also some of its own. There was a huge bathroom, complete with a jacuzzi bathtub, a big shower, three sinks, three humongous closets, and three vanity areas. There were three bedrooms, all differently themed but the same size with a balcony in them, and one large sitting area with couches sofas and a large platinum screen T.V. 

"I call dibs on this room!" Maddie screamed while running to the blue room themed to look like the ocean on the right of the penthouse. 

"I want this room!" Chloe yelled sprinting to the yellow room themed to look bright and happy like the sun, which was next to the blue room.

"I guess I'll take this one then!" I yelled back walking into the red and tan colored room which I wasn't really sure what it was supposed to be themed after. The room was right next to the bathroom on the left side of the penthouse. I emptied out my suitcase and bag and started putting my clothes away in the closet. Chloe and Maddie was doing the same. I stopped for a minute, looked for my ipod, plugged it into my speakers that I brought with me, and turned on One Direction.

"So Lex... Your Uncle's pretty cute," Chloe announced with a grin while hanging up some of her shirts.

"Cute? Try gorgeous." Maddie said back to Chloe.

"Ew, guys, did you really just say that? He's married and he's my Uncle so he is off limits," I said finding it kind of funny that my best friends thought he was cute. They pretty much think every guy they see is cute. 

"We know that! He's just fun to look at.." Chloe said and we all laughed.

We finished putting away our clothes and when we were done, each of our closets didn't even look half full.

"Girls, we need to go shopping!" Maddie said looking at her own closet then coming over to mine.

"We'll go tomorrow, Madds, don't worry, but for now it's time to go to sleep," I said turning off the music.

"Ugh. Fine, it's getting pretty late anyways," Maddie said.

"I'm actually pretty exhausted. I need my beauty sleep!" Chloe yawned which then made me yawn.

"Alright girls, I'll see you in the morning! Remember, we need to meet my Aunt and Uncle down at the reception desk at 11:00," I reminded them. We all walked into our seperate rooms. 

"Goodnght besties!" Maddie yelled across the suite. 

"Goodnight loves!" Chloe yelled.

"Goodnight girlies!" I yelled back at them. 

I got into my bed and pulled the covers on top of me. Before I drifted off to sleep, something in the back of my mind told me that something big was going to happen soon and I couldn't wait to figure out what it was.
