049 stares as you dust off your shoulders and butt, soon floating up in a lounging position. Your face was mean looking as the buzzing in your head restarts.
Suddenly you fall once more.
"Mother-" Before you could finish with your curses, the sound of many tactical boots stomping against the metal floors cut you off.
A soldier loudly speaks into his walkie-talkie, before ordering the rest of the group around. They come into view and your eyes widen at their three eyed helmets.
"Three SCP's located! In the surveillance room, 049, 173, 106!"
You lean forward, staring at them in shock and slight irritation. "The Nine-Tailed Fox unit..."
Man, those bitches sucked to get around!
049 narrows his eyes at you, raising a theoretical eyebrow. "How do you know of them?"
"Please. With the amount of times they've shot me, how could I not know who they were?" You scoff, looking over your shoulder at him.
His (again, theoretical) eyebrow raises further.
"Do NOT approach!" The commander of the squad barks.
"Then why aren't they shooting at you now?"
"Easy. They can't see me." You put your hands on your hips, staring down at them. The commanding officer stares in shock. "Orrr not."
"There is an unidentifiable figure next to 049, in front of 173! It's humanoid!"
"Sir, what are you seeing?!" A soldier calls.
"A new SCP, I'd assume! Everyone, engage your thermals!"
Hearing stretching skin, you look behind you and around 173, seeing 106 slowly tilting his head, popping his neck oddly.
His grin seemingly widens at your vaguely disgusted face, and he turns around.
"Boring." His low, creaky voice utters. A dark spot forms where he shambled over to, and he steps into the goo covering the wall.
"SCP 106 has left!" A soldier shouts, you looking back at them.
Nonchalantly flipping them off with both hands, you tilt your head in 049's direction. "So, do you just let them capture you?"
His eyes travel from the group to you. "Yes. Unless there is an easy way out, I do not trouble myself with trying to escape. There are more sick to be cured here, anyway."
You nod. "Yeah, yeah, I guess so. Anyway, I want to experiment further." Crouching down and lowering your fingers, you prepare to run straight at them, but while you do, 049 places his hand on your shoulder, making you stand straight and stare at him.
"Did you seriously just try and fuckin murder me again?"
Removing his hand from you, he looks back at the soldiers. "Perhaps."
You whistle. "Cold."
The soldiers, who had tensed at the short interaction, soon loosen as they grab their, uh, holdy sticks. You know, the thing with that hoop on the end? Well they grabbed that from their backs.
"Alpha, apprehend 049. Bravo, 173, and Charlie, the unknown." The Commanding Officer orders, those three small groups breaking off.
Before Charlie could even reach you, you held up your arms in a surrendering motion.
Frankly, surrendering to them was much better than that rage that always followed getting killed.
Wait, didn't you have 173 wrapped around your finger? Looking up at your hand, you ignore the groups as some soldiers call "Blinking!" every few seconds.
Yeah, yeah you did.
Maybe you could try and just...
Reaching up, you grab the string, pulling it harshly from your finger.
Aw, nice!
It just popped out!
Now you don't have to deal with that... that any longer.
You fist-pump, but your joy is soon sucked from you as another string extends from your hand, this time from your pinky. It squirms and wriggles grossly in the air, before freezing and lashing out. Instead of connecting to 173 this time, it wraps around 049's wrist.
"Oh, uh, sorry. Lemme just-" It comes off again, with 049's arm moving strangely until you separate it.
"Aha!" You smirk, but it is yet again thrown away as another string extends from your pinky, wrapping around the same wrist. "Oh."
"Uh, I don't know how to separate it forever."
"I can tell."
"Sir, there seems to be a thin fiber that just connected the Unknown to 049. They don't seem hostile."
You walk up to the closest soldier, pulling 049 closer by proxy, and stare into his helmet. Reaching up your hand (the one not connected to 049), you begin to tap a message on his goggles.
"U-uh, sir? The unknown is sending a message through Morse code."
Yeah, you knew Morse code. It started at you wanting to figure something out when you played Please, Don't Touch Anything, but it captured your interest.
"Translate it then!"
"...Y'all suck as-sir, it seems to be insulting us."
"No shit, soldier. But, an intelligent, unknown SCP just shows up during a breach. How strange." He steps to the side as 173 is escorted past him, also watching the string slacken as the unknown backs away from his soldier, getting closer to 049.
"This place truly is a goddamn wonderland, huh?"
