Ten.

HER POV

"What? Why?" I can feel my eyes tearing up, tears welling up and threatening to stain my cheeks.

"No its not that. I just want more. I'm past the dom-sub thing. I wanna date you." Daniel has been acting all weird. Was this the reason?

"Huh?" I'm confused and lost but much more scared.

This isn't happening. This can't happen.

Authors POV

Daniel stood there putting some clothes on.

"I meant what I said awhile ago. I wanna date you, court you, and actually wanna make you mine. " Daniel stormed out without hearing any answer from Kathryn.

Kathryn was crying for a reason that you readers shouldn't know just yet.

This wasn't the plan. Kathryn told herself.

Kathryn fell into a deep slumber.

Daniel on the other side was cursing.

Why am I doing this to myself? Is this really what I want? Daniel fell asleep, deep in thoughts as well.

Daniel woke up smiling. He was sure about what he was doing. Kathryn woke up confused, but smiling.

She went downstairs to grab breakfast, and was surprised to see him cooking. Daniel felt her presence, making him look at her.

"Good morning." he said, and went back to cooking.

She couldn't help but smile. She knew this wasn't allowed.

"How was your sleep?" Daniel asked as he set the plates up. She was overwhelmed. For a moment she saw a future with him. Maybe its too early but she didn't bother to care.

"It was (coughs) fine" Kathryn answered.

"That's good." he replied while plating food for her.

She can see how nervous he looked, making her giggle.

His head snapped at the sound, for a moment she thought he would've said something bad or cussed her out again.

"It's good to hear your laugh" Daniel said as he sat down infront of her. She was staring at her food, but she knew he was boring holes into her with his gaze.

"Ang ganda ganda mo parin kahit bagong gising" Daniel complimented her.

She can't admit to herself that she liked it, it was scaring her. A lot of things has been scaring her lately, but she couldn't deny the tint on her cheeks, heating her face up.

Daniel chuckled "Red is your color." He chided.

"Tama na" jokingly, Kath replied.

"Aba ganun?" Daniel, mockingly threatened.

It was nice to see them like this. Happy. Comfortable. It's nice.

"Aba oo." with fake confidence, she dared.

"Damn, you're adorable!" She was taken aback with how he slammed his hands down on the table, but then—

"Ano ba." Kathryn said, bubbly. They continued talking comfortably. They never knew they could be like this with each other. They ended the meal smiling and laughing.

"We'll go out later?" Daniel asked. Kathryn got caught off guard, "Ah.. Ano.." Kathryn didn't know how to respond.

The smile on his face faded.

"Sige okay lang kung ayaw mo." Daniel pouted.

POUTED?! Did anyone ever see this coming? He was asking for a date? Is this for real?

"Stop pouting baby boy..." Before Kathryn could even process what he said, he looked up.

"Baby boy?" He asked, quite amused.

"Ah shit.." Kathryn cursed under her breath. He could only laugh at what she said, until his phone rang.

It was Katsumi.

Without asking for anyone's permission, he stood up. Were they back to being cold again? She was wondering what was wrong, but she was in no position to ask.

"Hello?" Daniel answered his phone, a little irritated.

"Tol ano balita?" Katsumi asked over the phone.

"Shut up!" Daniel yelled at his phone as if it were Katsumi himself.

"Don't tell me..." Katsumi responded, annoying Daniel even more.

"Don't even dare. " Boldy, Daniel said.

"Siguraduhin mo lang na planado mo lahat ah, wag kang magpapakatanga. Wag kang tumulad sakanya."

Katsumi hung up.

Daniel, started to hit a random wall until he could feel his knuckles bruise and numb.

Hindi ko na kaya.. Hindi ko siya kayang saktan. He said, to himself, in his head, repeatedly.

Kathryn was getting worried that she was about to go out when her phone rang.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Long time no see.... Chandy." the other line dropped the call, sending chills down her spine.

Who was that?

But before she could think of anything else, Daniel barged into her room, making her notice the redness on his knuckles immediately.

She ran to him.

And held his hand.

He slowly looked at her.

"Anong nangyari?" Kathryn asked, scanning his face for answers.

"Wala ka ng pake" He retracted his hands as he said.

"Ang labo labo mo naman eh!" Shocking Daniel with what she said. She was getting red from pure, wet anger.

"We always go back and forth. Mamaya mabait ka at sweet tapos biglang magiging cold at galit. Gulong gulo na ako." Tears were already streaming down her cheeks, melting his heart.

"Wa-" Daniel was cut off when she spoke once more.

"Wag mo naman akong paglaruan. Umayos ka naman. Hindi lang ikaw ang may nararamdaman sa bawat ginagawa mo. Tao rin ako. Parang awa mo na."

Daniel, walked back to her, slowly, tucking locks of her hair behind her ears to see her face.

"I'm sorry." He whispered to her ears. She clinged on him, hugging him tight as she continued to cry.

This was all getting a little too difficult.

When she caught her breath, she let go.

"Magbihis ka, tutuloy natin ang date." Daniel said.

Still confusing as fuck.
