Peter leaves sometime later and I tell him to protect that laptop with his life. That was the only evidence we had of Allen mistreating Noah. If I could get Allen out, that would be one less problem I had to worry about. Allen has not made his appearance today or maybe he did while I was sleeping. I didn't know, but hopefully he wasn't going to check-up on me at all.
It was time to get Noah so I get in my truck and head down to the main building. I was still wondering how long the new inmates would be in isolation. Usually it is only five days or so but after the whole open vent thing... I just wasn't sure. At the main building, Peter's desk is empty so I swipe the key off his desk again and head through the halls. I reach Noah's room and he is pacing the room. Even in the darkness, his jaw line looks badly bruised.
"Noah, come on." I say waving my arm. He nods and walks forward. Noah looks nervous as if the guards are going to come after us at any moment. I take his hand and lead him through the halls and into the main lobby. I look outside before dragging Noah out with me to the truck. I knew Allen was probably still awake and he was either in his home or making another inmate's life a living hell.
"Are you sure this is okay? What if we get caught?" Noah was acting like such a wimp. It was so cute. I thought Noah was the bad boy but he could also be a little baby. I laugh.
"What?" Noah asks looking at me. I shake my head and start the truck up. The ride is silent and when we get to my house Noah slips out of the truck. He follows closely behind me. I suddenly stop on purpose just to feel Noah's body against mine. I smile when Noah grabs me from behind and pulls me closer.
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" He whispers in my ear. I shiver with delight and laugh a little bit. Noah knew exactly what to do. If I did that to Leo he probably would have yelled at me for bumping into him. Sometimes Leo didn't catch on to my playful tendencies.
"Maybe." I say. Noah kisses my neck and I lean back against him. He pulls away first and that is when I realize we weren't even inside yet. I laugh to myself and pull Noah along. We walk into the foyer and I flip off my shoes. So does Noah. I hand him an old shirt of Leo's to put on because I didn't like him wearing that prisoner outfit. His pants were fine, but the shirt had to go. We head to the kitchen and Noah takes a seat. I hand him some water and some good food. Noah eyes me.
"Just eat it. I know how crappy the prison food is." I say placing my hands on my hips. He smiles and starts to eat. I watch Noah eat. He is proper and he even asked for a napkin to place in his lap. It was odd and way different from when I ate. My father always called me a pig when I ate.
"So, Peter and I found something on the security tapes." I say. Noah gives me a look. His bruise looks worse in the light.
"Allen keeps beating you." I say. Noah looks back down at his food. I hated seeing Noah get hurt like that.
"Yeah. I can take it Nora. Don't worry about me." I roll my eyes. Typical men trying to be all manly. I reach over and gently touch his face. We stare at each other for a long time. The passion that radiates between us is about to burst. I smile sadly and take my hand away. I grab his plate and stick it in the sink. Noah and I retreat into the den. It was smaller than the living room and I was the only one that used it because besides my bedroom, it was the only place where my father could not smoke. I sit on the couch and Noah sits next to me.
"I can get Allen out. That is one less problem we have to deal with." I tell Noah. He nods and laces his fingers through mine.
