Can I bite you?

(Natsu's POV)

Since Happy was at home I had to climb the wall to get to Lucy's window. I could tell she was still awake since the light in her room was still on and I could see her sitting on her bed. She was just sitting there with her back to the window so I lightly tapped the window to get her attention.

She ignored it at first until she turned around. She stared at me for a few moments with a shocked expression before opening the window to let me in.

"Hey Luce" I said as I closed the window and sat next to her.

She immediately tackled me into a tight hug before letting a few tears escape her eyes.

"Y-you idiot! You were supposed to be my best friend but as soon as you got together with Lisanna you didn't even talk to me!" She shouted releasing me from the hug to start hitting my chest clumsily. Since she was crying she was hitting me weakly not actually intending to hurt me but it did hurt, not physically but it hurt my heart...

I was right it was my fault she was always so upset and her eyes had lost all emotion. It was my fault she didn't smile like she used to...

She continued shouting at me, saying everything she had kept to herself about how mad she was at me, at how I left her alone and how I disbanded team Natsu and how she wished I would start talking to her again but I never did cause of Lisanna.

I pulled her into a hug and let her cry in my chest as I caressed her hair.

"I know I upset you and I really am sorry" I said and she pulled away from my embrace.

"Why are you here? Won't Lisanna get mad?" She said bitterly drying her eyes with her sleeves.

"I broke up with her" I said and she looked at me shocked.

"Why? What happened?" She questioned.

"I realised she wasn't the one...I don't love her as a girlfriend she's more like a best friend or maybe even a sister, so I told her what I thought and she didn't respect my decision to break up with her and she started shouting at me saying she wouldn't let me leave her. Then she threw a glass at me and this happened" I explained pointing to the gash on my forehead.

Her eyes widened when she saw the cut on my head and she dived into her drawers pulling out a first aid kit. She have not seen the cut before since she was crying.

She starting treating my wound and was about to bandage it before I stopped her.

"No bandages, it's fine" I said.

"Let me just put it on for the night and,in the morning, you can take it off if you want" She said I nodded.

She was always so caring...

As she tied my bandage she was so close to me...I could feel my heart start beating faster and I could see her go kinda red too.

This reminded me of how I felt around Lisanna when I was in love with her...

Maybe...Lucy...

"Done" She exclaimed after she had tied the bandage neatly on my head, before she got up and put the first aid kit away.

"Thanks Luce" I said and she gave me a smile...I missed her smile...

"I'd better leave. It's really late" I said and she looked disappointed.

I was about to jump out the window before she said

"Natsu?"

"Yeah" 

"Um...could you maybe stay over tonight?" She said looking down so she wouldn't meet my gaze.

"Sure" I said giving her one of my signature smiles.

She looked up as smiled at me brightly and I could see some of the life return to her eyes.

She turned off the light and slipped into her bed as I closed the window and crawled in beside her.

She was lying down with her back to me and I moved towards her to hug her.around her waist.

"You've not been eating have you?" I said.

"Um..No I have it's just that...I...um...I'm on a diet" She said.

I knew she was lying but I decided to just play along.

"You shouldn't be on a diet you're already perfect" I said. "Tomorrow you and me can go out to eat and I'll pay for everything this time" 

"Ok then, prepare to lose a lot of money" She said and we both laughed.

It felt so good to be back with Lucy again.

We just lay together in silence for a few minutes and Lucy moved a bit and her hair fell from her shoulder down onto her pillow revealing her pale neck.

I already figured it out that I didn't love Lisanna anymore because I had fallen for someone else...and that someone was right next to me...

"Luce, I know this might sound weird but can I bite you?" I asked.

"What?" She asked confused.

"You'll know why soon, but can I?"

"I'll let you cause I trust you" She said and I smiled.

I bared my fangs and let them sink into her neck. She balled her hands into fists as I bit her. I slowly pulled my fangs out of her neck and I left two bite marks.

A drop of blood was released from both holes but no more.

I knew it!

I knew it was Lucy!

I hugged her tighter and we fell asleep together.

(Lucy's POV)

I woke up to see a certain fire dragon slayer smiling at me.

"Morning Luce" He said sitting up.

"Morning" I said rubbing my eyes.

"Come on let's have breakfast then we can get going" He said.

"Where are we going?" I asked. 

"Seriously you forgot?" He said staring at me as I nodded.

"Remember we agreed that we'd go out today and that I would pay for everything for once" He said and it all came back to me.

"Oh yeah" I said rubbing the back of head wondering how I had forgotten.

"Well you go have a shower and get changed while I quickly go home to get some money then I'll come back and we can have some breakfast before leaving" He said and I nodded before he jumped out the window and shouted bye from outside.

I grabbed a towel and went into bathroom. I took off my clothes before stepping into the shower and turning on the water.

As I washed my hair a thought occurred to me...

Wasn't me and Natsu going out together technically a date!

--And we'll see if Lucy is right in the next chapter! Sorry no lemon in this chapter but we'll see what happens next....
