General Predictions (about what will happen):

- Abe/Dimitri springs Rose out of jail

- Rose returns to Las Vegas and Russia

- Dimitri sees his family again

- Lissa ends up being in line for the throne, possibly gets it

- Sonya Karp is found

- At least one Strigoi is turned back (could be Sonya)

- More spirit users are found

- Rose ends up with either Dimitri or Adrian (kind of obvious, but anyway :P)

Lissa's Sibling:

I think its probably a character we already know, personally my bet is on Adrian or Jill.

Adrian

- When Rose first asks Adrian if Nathan is his dad he says something like ''That's what my mom tells me''- although Adrian refers to Nathan as his dad throughout the books afterwards, it just seems to me like a strange phrase for a first time introduction. Also, Adrian's mum gets defensive of Eric Dragomir when Nathan talks about him being interested in other women. He has spirit powers like Lissa (although there's never been any mention on a link between genetics and elements) and he's never showed any romantic interest in her at all. On the downside, apart from having a similar eye colour they don't look anything alike.

Jill

- I think there's a more evidence for her being Lissa's sibling. The words used to describe her and Lissa's eye colour are very similar and there has never been any mention of her having a father. Lissa seems to find her a bit of an annoyance, the way you might treat a younger sibling, like when she tries to dump her on Mia. Most importantly her mum is a Moroi dancer and therefore may have been one of the showgirls in Las Vegas that Eric Dragomir was apparently so fond of. I think Jill is quite an underdeveloped character, she doesn't really have any purpose at the moment in the series, her character just pops up often enough so she isn't forgotten, I think Richelle plans to make her play a bigger part in the next book.

I think its Jill :)

Tatiana's murderer:

Victor

-Although he has the best motive, he seems wayyy too obvious a choice, how would he get into the court AND into the Queen's private chambers? There's no way his brother is strong enough to compel everyone, although he has claimed previously to have other hidden Moroi followers who might be willing to help him. He certainly wouldn't have any qualms about setting Rose up, as he would see her as a large threat to his safety.

Adrian

-Being family, the entire Ivashkov clan would probably have private access to the Queen, however they don't stand to gain anything by killing her, as they wouldn't be allowed to rule afterwards (ruling can't go to the previous monarch's family). Adrian is unstable sometimes due to the effects of his spirit powers and the Queen's expression was described as being full of shock and horror, as though her killer was someone she didn't expect- she was very fond of Adrian. He would also be of the few people who had access to Rose's room, to steal her stake, infact he goes there a few times. However, he has no motive to kill the Queen (who he liked) and he loves Rose- so why would he set her up?

Tasha

-She has a motive in that she wants the ways things are done to change- what would she gain? There's no way her family would be considered to rule. How would she get access to the Queen? She comes across as being a good person and seems to like Rose, but she may secretly bear a grudge against her if she knows that she is the reason why Dimitri turned down her guardian/romance offer.

Ambrose

-Ambrose is one of the few that would be allowed access to Tatiana at all times because of their relationship. He also has natural dhampir strength and reflexes so could have killed her quickly and easily. Back to Tatiana's shocked expression- she wouldn't expect it to be him. However they cared about each other a lot, Ambrose defends her when Rose insults her and Tatiana trusts him enough to give him a note discussing her death. I don't think he would willingly kill her, sooo

I think a spirit user compelled Ambrose into killing Tatiana.

Alchemist break-in:

Did the person responsible do so to help or hinder Lissa? I don't think the aim was to hide the information concerning E.D. because only the paper copies were stolen- the electronically stored ones remain, so someone was probably seeking information. It could have been Tatiana- but she's the Queen, why would she bother breaking in when she could just get the information delivered to her directly? I think it was Victor, he may not have the man power to break into the Court and the Queen's chambers to kill her, but his brother may have been able to help him do this. He has a personal interest in Lissa and her family and may be hoping to use the information to manipulate Lissa or to find the sibling first for his own personal uses.

''The Last Sacrifice''

Assuming the title is indicative of what will happen in the book..

Sacrifice:

- Is this about sacrificing one person for another- such as Rose giving up Adrian for Dimitri, or Dimitri for Adrian- ie giving up something you have to gain something 'better'?

- Self Sacrifice? I think the most likely of these would be:

Dimitri: for Rose or Lissa (the woman he loves or the women he has sworn to protect)

Rose: for Lissa or Dimitri (as she loves them both more than any other)

Lissa: for Rose

Adrian: for Rose

-or does the term sacrifice refer to something completely different, such as Rose giving up her guardian job?

-throughout the series, the idea of having children and the sacrifices made for them or because of them is mentioned several times, such as with Rose's mother and Dimitri's family (mother and his sister's having babies) and there's a big issue about Rose and Adrian using a condom so...

...My WORST ending imaginable would Adrian getting Rose pregnant, dying and her raising it with Dimitri or something... that would be awful, it would just ruin everything. I don't think this series NEEDS to have children brought into it, like in Breaking Dawn (Twilight Saga), Rose has never really had a chance to just have a normal romance for a while without anything crazy happening. So, yeah, I really hope something like that doesn't happen.

And in terms of Team Dimitri/Adrian, I personally prefer the idea of Rose and Dimitri, although I'm a fan of Adrian too.

So these are my thoughts and ideas about the upcoming Vampire Academy book :)
