John's POV

Work was eventful, I hired an incredibly qualified and very attractive woman. She seemed distant though, it was oddly familiar I don't really know why.

I got back to the flat and opened the door, I hoped that Sherlock had a new case for us since I had been sat down most of the day. As I walked through the door to the flat Sherlock looked up at me from hi chair, "What's her name?" he asked out of the blue.

"Sorry?" I replied in confusion.

"Its obvious John," he continued with a smirk, "At work, you met a woman. A patient, not likely because you clearly are going to see her again based on the uncommon confidence that you exuded as you entered the flat, this shows that you hired her and that she now works with you or she will be working with you."

"Right, her name is Y/N," I sighed. I was sick of him deducing me all the time like that yeah it was extremely impressive and it always will be but it can get on my nerves sometime especially considering something like this, a person that I may or may not want to ask out.

"And you are going to see her on Friday," Sherlock remarked

"How on earth did you deduce that!" I shouted back with a breathy laugh

"So you are seeing her on Friday," Sherlock sniggered

"I am not seeing her on Friday, she's stating work on Friday."

"Oh, okay." Sherlock said slightly surprised. Why would Sherlock be surprised? I guess in the past I have tended to hop from girlfriend to girlfriend, so much that even I couldn't keep up. But after Mary, I couldn't really find the motivation to get myself out there.

"What's she like?" Sherlock asked me. The only time that Sherlock cared about who I liked was with Mary so this was odd. Is there something wrong with her? Like Sherlock said, im attracted to danger, apparently. Sherlock hasn't even met the girl, how would he know?

"She's...nice," I responded.

"Is that all, what does she look like?"

"Oh, er, she has H/C, H/L hair and E/C eyes, she is tall, not much shorter than you I think."

"She sounds...nice," Sherlock looked up at me from his chair and smiled, this was a rare moment I was sure to remember it. I smiled back at him and headed to the kitchen to make some tea.

A/N: I know that this chapter is short, I would have made it a full chapter but I had no idea what to write. This is just a filler chapter for now to show where your character's and john's relationship stands. There will be a proper chapter soon I promise ;))
