The next few days were cold, rain had found itself over the city and streets were drowning in flooded drains. I only left the house for work and groceries, other than that I stayed in the warmth of my home.

I was standing in my kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil. I stared out the window watching the hard drops of water hit my window. The street was quiet with only a few cars driving past ever so often. My eyes focused on someone standing out in the rain, just standing there not moving. He was facing towards me, I felt he was watching me.

The kettle finished boiling and made a loud ping noise, snapping me away from the strange person. I pored the water into my tea and looked back out the window. To my surprise he was gone. A loud crack of thunder boomed through the wind.

I sat down on my couch with my tea cupped in my hands. I felt an uneasy feeling and I couldn't shake it.

I woke up on the couch. I must have fallen asleep watching the TV. I could still hair the loud rain hitting the roof, the sound made me feel relaxed but I still had the slight uneasy feeling which I pushed to the back of my head as I switched through the channels on the TV. I settled the TV on how I met your mother, sat back and watched.

A few episodes passed and I had completely forgotten about the person outside earlier. I started to feel tired again and I was finding it hard to stay awake. Just as I was dozing off someone knocked at my door. I walked towards the door and slowly opened it.
