Darkness.

I heard nothing, seen nothing. I felt like I was suspended between sleep and yet, fully awake. What had happened to me?

Why can't I remember?

I could feel my body bouncing slightly... as if i were being carried in another arms as they walked. But i couldn't be I mean... I had no friend... no family to care for me like this. So...

Who was it?

I tried to remember what happened to me before this. So I tried. Tried...TRIED. Shit! Whay does it hurt so much to remember what happened to me even a second before?! Did I hit my head of something...? Ahh... I was out in the snow. I know that much at least, because of that pathetic woman and her husband, so... did I fall and whack my head on some rock somewhere?

I gave up on remembering. It just made my situation worse anyway. I should probably focus on whoever it is carrying me.

WHY, rather would they be carrying me in the middle of a blizzard in Alaska? What would be in it for them? I have nothing of value on me... Was it a hunter then? Seeing me passed out, possibly, in a snow storm would scare anyone.

Then could it be safe to think i'm being carried somewhere to 'recover'?

I felt a jerk all of a sudden as whoever it was carrying me stopped walking. I still couldn't see anything, my eyelids felt like they were molded together. I still couldn't hear anything... it's like my ears didn't want to listen anymore.

But I could still feel the way they moved. Seeming to hold me as if I were as light as a feather, they cradled me... soothing me as if i were a child...

Not that i want to admit that. The fact that someone could pick me up so easily, that I could find their arms around me soothing wasn't helping my 'manly' ego one bit. As much as I found it comfortanble, I felt it to be damn annoying too!

The so called, 'soothing' aspects of the pair of arms vanished completely as they, whoever 'they' was, roughly dropped me onto a stone floor. I cringed as the back of my head hit the solid floor hard.

But thats when everything came surging back to me.

I remembered the strange girl in the middle of the tundra like forest. The way her hair flowed, her eyes sparkled, her lips gleamed in the pale moonlight...

The way she mesmerised me.

I remembered the flash of light that seemed to shoot from her palm. How much it hurt too! If i wasn't currently paralysed, i'd of grabbed my head just remembering how it felt... NOTHING like the measly bang i'd had just now.

And those words she mouthed...

"Found you."

At least, i'm sure thats what she said. I mean, I self studied lip reading for half a year and I was sure I at least got the basics down before I had ran out of books to read on the topic.

So if i was right...

Why had she apparently "found" me?

Unless she was some sort of assassin or hitman that 'woman' had sent out after me, then could she be a friend... from long ago? Thinking to myself, I had to add the last part because, although i did in the past, I don't have a single friend to the name NOW.

After the ringing in my ears from the impact of the floor had vanished, I found out I could hear again. I could hear stone striking stone in what I could only assume to be starting a fire. A small spark and it seemed to have worked as a gentle 'woosh' sounded as the fire started.
