After we ate, we played capture the flag. I was pretty excited. Though...the upsetting thing was that to be fair to both teams, the two non-hospitalized children of the big three were on two separate teams. That made me kinda sad, cause I wanted to be on the same team as Nico and his handsome face....
Oh gods, Percy! Stop it!
I blushed, and a few people around me gave me funny looks.
OH MY GODS I'M EMBARRASSING MY SELF. Stop it Perseus Jackson.
I was getting funny looks from everyone now. Annabeth decided to stroll over at the worst moment.
"Hey, seaweed brain. Why are you looking extra idiotic today?" She asked my teasingly. Right then and their I just wanted to melt and never be seen again. I was already embarrassed by my stupididity...
"Just how amazing you look in your armor." I stupidly answered, playing with the grey streak in her hair. She smiled, uneasily. I dropped the grey curl and looked down still embarrassed of my blushing outburst.
"Well we gotta lead the team to win this thing, seaweed brain! Come on! We aren't gonna lose to the Ares cabin!" She ran off, grabbing my wrist and dragging me along.
All of us discussed battle strategies, and we all decided to use the Athena cabins(mostly Annabeths) strategy. I was standing at the edge of the border with and Annabeth's brother Malcom. I was glad, sense there was a river for easy healing right near me. This reminded me of the first time I played. I was bait. Even though I didn't enjoy it, it was better than being a sacrafice to Gaea. So, I went along with it.
I heard steps in front of us, and Malcom heard it, too. We both looked in that direction weapons at ready. It was only one person, and I was ready to blast them with the river, if needed. I had a feeling it was Clarisse, though, the fact that the earth was not shaking under the persons feet, I had a feeling it wasn't her.
"Come on, Jackson." Said a pretty convincing Piper, looking at herself through her blade, Katoptris, "I'm getting that flag. And you can't stop me." I almost wanted to agree...
