My mom and I get off the plane and are greeted by some insane looking woman that looks like my mom. I'm guessing this is my American grandmother. I put in my headphones before she sees me. She tries to say hello but I close my eyes and nod my head to the music pretending I cant hear her. I know that sounds horrible but I never wanted to meet an American in my entire life, let alone be living in America with American relatives. My mom elbows me in the side so I take off my headphones.
"There's the beautiful granddaughter I've seen so many pictures of. Hello darling." She tries to hug me but I stick out my hand for her to shake. I refuse to hug an American.
"Hello grandmother." As I say that I try to sound calm and not disgusted. I also tried to make sure my accent was very prominent. I don't want her to think that I'm immediately just going to be her best friend and be an American teenager. I will never like this woman and I will NEVER be an American. I put my headphones back in and start walking to baggage claim.

1 Hour Later
"This is where we're going to be staying while in America?" I am going to die. I hate this stupid country. I'm already going back for the summer.
"Yes, this is where we will be living. Stop acting like this is just a short visit." If she thinks I'm actually living here she's sadly mistaken. The second I can afford a plane ticket I will be on my way back to England and I will move in with my nana and papa.
"This place is tiny! My closet was bigger than this entire place. Why do she have to stay her mum!. I basically screamed in her face before running into the hallway and starting to cry. I want to go home.Hey guys! Sorry this wasn't very long and sorry it's been so long since I last updated, I've been having really bad writers block on all my stories. I really hope you like my book and if you do I would appreciate if you read my other books as well. Thanks so much! 😘
