My name is Nathan Branton, and if I'm going to tell you this story, I'm going to have to begin where all stories begin, at the dawn of time. It all starts in the age of the Olympians. There were six Olympian Gods, and two Goddesses, their names are Zeus the God of The Skies, Poseidon the God of the Seas, Hades the God of the Underworld, Hermes the God of Speed, Ares the God of War, Apollo the God of Music, Athena the Goddess of Wisdom, and Aphrodite the Goddess of Love.
They lived on Mount Olympus where the wine flows like a waterfall, the flowers bloom brighter than golden apples, the trees grow higher than a Titan, and the sun shines brighter than the fires in the forge of Hephaestus. But Olympus wasn't always paradise; it was once a warzone for the greatest battle the Olympians had ever faced. Long before my friends or I even existed, the Olympians had fought Kronos and the Titans for the fate of the world. Many Gods, Goddesses, and Heroes were lost in that battle like Artemis, Dionysus, and Perseus, reportedly the body of the god of fire Hephaestus was never found. Ultimately the Olympians won, the Titans were killed, and Kronos was banished to the depths of Tartarus. Over the years Mount Olympus was rebuilt. The Gods built a safe haven for Demigods to live in peace and not have to worry about being harmed, that place was Camp Argus. And the person that was left to watch over the children was a satyr named Philoctetes, but he prefers Phil. The first Demigod to arrive at Camp Demigod was me. I never knew who my father was, no one knew who my father was, except my mother who took me to the camp right before she was killed by a minotaur. Phil took me in. he became the father I never knew. He raised me, trained me, and taught me, that's why when more Demigods started arriving at the camp, I never went to class, that was because Phil already taught me everything I needed to know. Because of that I was prepared, prepared to find out who my real father is. But I found out I wouldn't be doing that alone, because I had my friends to fight alongside me for the journey, and in time they would become my family. First there was Jason Barak the son of Zeus, he's kind of a boy scout, he's not a really big fan of breaking the rules. Then there's Derek Nirvelli the son of Poseidon, everyone at the camp used to call him "Waterboy" and when everybody found out his father is the god of the seas, the moment was crawling with irony. Next there's Kevin Ryker the son of Hermes, we call him "The Speed Demon" because he's the fastest guy here. Now we go to Trevor Ajax the son of Ares, now there's a guy with a big temper, short fuse, and a bad attitude, but I'm not sure if that's his greatest weakness or his greatest weapon. Next we have Kayla Amata the daughter of Aphrodite, what can be said that hasn't already been said. She really is the most beautiful girl in Camp Demigod, but what can you expect, her mother is the Goddess of Love. Now we move to Marcus Maponus the son of Apollo, he's the one with the most musical talent of the camp. And finally we have the daughter of Athena, Sarah Pallas, she almost has a bigger temper than Trevor, and that's saying something. But before we begin our journey we need to gear up.
I didn't need much for the trip all I needed was my trusty katana that I call "Inferno" because it's created from pure fire.
Jason packed his short sword and small shield "The Master Sword and The Master Shield" given to him by Zeus, and since Zeus is his father Jason is able to summon Zeus's most powerful weapon, The Master Bolts, Zeus's lightning.
Trevor didn't need to pack much because like his father Ares he can tap into The Warrior's Arsenal which makes him able to summon any weapon he thinks of, and he seems to favor using twin swords. Kevin also doesn't need to pack much because his super speed his his greatest weapon, although he does have a nunchuck that might come in handy later in the journey, but he's not very good with it. Derek can use the water to summon The Aquablade, one of Poseidon's most powerful weapons aside from The Olympian Trident. Kayla packed The Bow of Harmony and The Blade of Aphrodite which is a sword hidden in an umbrella, and surprisingly she knows how to use these weapons, because Phil taught her to use them properly without hurting her allies or herself. Marcus packed his enchanted guitar and his weapon he got from Phil because his father left it for him when he came to the camp, The Hammer of Apollo. Sarah might have packed too much, she packed The Wisdom Spear, The Wisdom Axe, and The Wisdom Mace, I'm not sure if she's helping me find my father, or preparing for a reenactment of the battle for Troy. After we packed our stuff we had to say goodbye to the man who took care of us all our lives, we had to say goodbye to Phil and that might've been the worst part of this whole adventure. Phil cried while he said to me "Good luck Nathan I hope you find your dad"
I hugged him and said "Don't worry Phil you were a better dad than whoever my real dad is because you stayed and raised me as your own and for that I thank you."
He said "I'm sorry kid it's just someday I knew this would happen, I knew one day you would venture off to find your real father, and I just never thought this day would be today" he said with tears in his eyes.
"Phil I have to know who he is, but remember, you will always be my father" I said to him before hugging him. "Goodbye Phil".
"Goodbye Nathan".
