Chapter Two: Killians Return

Killians pov: 

I disappeared after I told her that I didn't love her, It broke my heart but it was something I needed to do, I needed to let her go, to let her be happy and free from me. Everyday I saw here looking for me, I heard her voice call out to me and It broke my heart because she was just wasting her time. I needed her to go, I needed her to find someone else and forget about me, I wasn't good enough for her. Me a pirate who has corrupted so many lives, someone who took in the darkness, seeking revenge on everything. As i thought about this i clenched my fist and hit a nearby tree, it cut me deeply but I did not feel a thing. How could I when all the pain was in my heart.  "Killian?" a voice called out from behind me I turned to look at who it was and it was David, looking at me with sorrow in his eyes. "we've been searching for you." I looked down at the floor "I know." I said. David walked closer to me and i backed away. "You don't want to get near me, trust me." I said and he stopped. "Wait till Y/N hears about this!" Just hearing her name made me ache but I had to be strong, "She already knows, I went to see her last night to tell her It was all a big mistake, I don't love her." The words that slipped out made me get a lump in my throat, as much as I wanted to be with her I couldn't not like this. David looked at me in shock, "You don't mean that." he said. I furrowed my eye brows, "Just do me one favor, don't let her do anything dumb, like go and try to find me, because the next time she does she'll regret it." I disappeared into smoke and ended up in Rumples Cabin. I sat there my hand rubbing my face, as i held back the pain. 

Readers POV

You woke up on the floor of your kitchen, your eyes were puffy and your head pounding from what had happened that night. You slowly got up and walked over to your kitchen table sitting there staring at the wall. You thought about what Killian told you the night before, each word you thought about him saying made your heart break even more. There was a knock at your door that startled you from your thoughts. You ran to open it seeing David standing there with sadness in his eyes. He came in and pulled you into a tight hug you let your tears flow down your face as he held you in his arms. "I saw him last night David..H..h..he said he didn't love me." David held you tightly against him as you cried into his chest. "I saw him this morning, he claimed to not love you, but I could see the words hurt him, I know he loves you Y/N I think hes trying to protect you from what has happened." You shook your head and rubbed your eyes with your sleeve. "No, he said he didn't love me, he looked at me and there was no regret or sadness in his face." You got up from the chair, "David, I think I lost him forever." you stood up to hug david tightly burying your face into his chest letting the tears flow down your face.

As time flew by you never had seen Killian since that night he had visited your home, you felt exhausted not wanting to go to work, David had told you that you could skip a few days and the boss would be okay with it but you needed to get your mind off of things, but no matter how much you tried Killian was always in the back of your mind. "I brought Coffee, and I brought some donuts!" David said walking into the door and waking you up from your thoughts you smiled at him and grabbed the cup of coffee he had brought you. You closed your eyes and took a sip from it feeling the hot liquid down your throat. The two of you were silent for a moment and he smiled at you, "So, Mary wants to know if you would like to have dinner with us." he said taking a bite from a donut you sighed and raised your eyebrow, "She's not going to try and set me up with Dr. Whale is she?" David laughed and shook his head, "No, actually it's sheriff Graham." the moment you heard his name you choked, "What?" David just smiled and walked away , "Dinner tonight after work!" he said going to the back of the Vet clinic.  You stood up but before you could get to David Graham had walked in, you mumbled under your breath "Speak of the devil, and he shall appear." you sighed and put on a smile on your face, "Graham, heyyy." Graham just looked at you and smiled, "Hello y/n could I talk to you for a minute." you hesitated for a moment and then stepped outside with Graham. "What did you want to talk to me about?" he looked at you with worry, "I think I may have found Killian."
