Hi, Jaykat here! Welcome to the Turquiose Spotlight Awards. Our main purpose is to bring new and yet unrecognised talent into the spotlight —and we want to have fun! So enter your books, you have nothing to lose but have a chance to win, and read some of the other's books. I'm sure they'll all be amazing!
How this Works
Here's a brief explanation of how this will work.
All three girls managing this account will be judges. There will be two stages. Anna and Ruby each have six genres to judge in Stage One, and they will choose their top favourites (amount depending on how many entrants there are). In Stage Two, after Ruby and Anna announce the finalists, I (Jay) will judge the remaining contestants and then announce the winners.
There are six, almost seven, genres that will not be judged. They are ChickLit, Non-Fiction, Random, Romance, Werewolf and Vampire. Only a few Fanfiction will be accepted (more said about this in the info chapter).
The Genre Awards include:

Best Historical Fiction Award
Best Mystery/Thriller Award
Best General Fiction Award
Best Horror Award
Best Paranormal Award
Best Short Story Award
Best Humour Award
Best Poetry Award
Best Teen Fiction Award
Best Spiritual Award
Best Fanfiction Award
There are also two more awards, the Audience Choice Distinction and Turquoise Spotlight Award. The Audience Choice Distinction is the crowd favourite (more said below) and the Turquoise Spotlight Award is the personal favourite of the three judges.
The Audience Distinction Award and Voting
Throughout the judging, the audience will be able to vote. They get two votes, and may choose any entered book to give that vote to. People with a book participating for one of the Genre Awards also have two votes, they just cannot vote for their own book. At the end of Stage Two of judging, we will add up the votes and announce the winner of the Audience Distinction Award. We will also announce the winner of the Turquoise Spotlight Award then.
