Hi friends. Today is Christmas for Russia and it is different on a way. They are a part of the Orthodox Church.

Christmas tree and related celebrations were gradually eradicated after the October Revolution.

In 1935, in a remarkable turn of state politics, many Christmas traditions were re-adopted as part of the new secular New Year celebration.

These include the decoration of the tree, or "spruce", festive decorations and family gatherings, the visit by gift-giving Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) and his granddaughter, (The Snow Maiden)

So here is my edit.
