Chapter 22

Ryder Pov

Its been 3 months since Chase proposed to me. So I'm currently 5 months pregnant and the baby is due any day now. Chase and I planned to have our wedding when the kids where older. Maybe in a few years time.

I walked around the house bored since Chase isn't home and the pups are spending then weekend with Chase's parents. Sometimes it good we live away from the pack and sometimes it's not.

He went to another meeting. It's close to the five year mark when all the packs meet in one place. We all head to the Alpha King palace and celebrate.

I head to the kitchen and start dinner. Though its not late just around four in the evening. As I was taking the ingredient out the door bell ranged. I waddle to the door and open it. It was just Rae and some little boy he brought along with him. The boy had tears running down his face and Rae look scared frighten even.

I hurriedly rush them into the house and told them to sit on the sofa and I'll be right back. I rush to the kitchen as fast as i could. Waddling and all. Once i came back the scene in front of me was so adorable but sad. They was cuddling. The boy had a tight grip on Rae crying into my brothers shirt while Rae rubbed his back. I handed Rae a glass of water and sat the other on the table.

"Rae.. What's wrong? And who is this?" I asked softly.

"This is Caden. My mate. Ryder.. Please help us." Rae whispered at the end.

"What's the matter. Is everything aright?"

He shook his head no and started crying along with his mate. I was so confused. Why are they crying. Aren't you suppose to be happy with your mate?

I went to go ask what was wrong when I heard the front door opening and closing. I turned my head just as Chase came walking in. He gave me a questioning look but I just shrugged and turned back to the crying couple.

"Ry-Ryder.. Jer-Jeremy tired to kill Ca-Caden. He went crazy because I chose Caden over him. He told Dad i chose the Omega over him. A-and Dad got mad." He sobbed and pulled Caden closer to him.

I looked at them with a soft gaze and got a little teary eyed. Its my hormones mostly getting the best of me but soon I was a crying mess.

I got up and hugged them as we cried together. I told them they could stay as long as they wanted. Caden looked at me and hugged me. Crying into my neck silently. He was tiny so he was standing on his tippy toes.

Dinner was forgot about and everyone went to bed. Chase and I talked for a few and then went to bed.

In the middle of the night I woke up to sharp pains in my stomach. I cried for a little bit and rubbed my stomach.

"Baby.. What's wrong, why are you awake?" Chase asked tiredly.

"My stomach.."I whimpered.

He kissed my stomach and rubbed it softly but that made it worst. I cried out in pain and Chase jumped up in alert. The pain only got worst and a gripped my stomach to hopefully stop the pain.

"Chase.. Make it stop." I whimpered in pain.

Before he could say something i felt water run down my leg and my pants were red a little.

"Chase.. My water broke." I cried in pain.

After that everything was a blur. I remember Chase waking Rae and Caden, rushing down to the car with me in his arms and then us pulling into the pack hospital.

I was rush to a room and immediately placed in bed. I could hear movement around me but i wasn't really paying attention. Its like i blocked out the world. Then everything started getting fuzzy and blurry. Chase was standing over me yelling, Caden look ready to cry and Rae held him close. Last thing i seen was a teary eyed Chase locking eyes with me.

I woke up to the sound of beeping and low chattering. I felt pain in my stomach and head. I sat up slowly and groaned.

"Chase..." I whimpered and soon felt arms around me.

I snuggled into his embrace and whimpered a little in pain from my stomach. Chase kissed my forehead and rubbed my back.

"Ryder.. You okay baby?" I nodded my head and looked at him. He looked pale and tired.

"What happen?"

"You passed out when you were getting ready to have birth. Been out for a week now."

"A we-week..?"

"Yeah. Doctors said that having this baby could have killed you. Ryder you can't have any more babies. You will die baby. I can't lose you. I won't." He whispered at the end.

I nodded my head and hugged him tighter. He pecked my nose and nuzzled my hair. We talked and he told me, we had a baby girl. He named her Ophelia and asked if it was okay. I loved that name. 

A while later we talked to the doctors and they said i could leave tomorrow. Then I could be with my family. Me, Chase, Landon, Logan and now Ophelia.

5 years later...

Its been five years and now I'm getting married. Landon and Logan are now six and a half and Ophelia five. Landon and Logan feel in love with Ophelia when i first came home from the hospital, and has been inseparatable ever since.

"Lia! Stay still. I'm trying to fix your dress." I tell Ophelia.

"But mommy! Lia doesn't like dressy." My five year old pouted and cross her arms.

"Please Ophelia... Just for today. Its really important to mommy." I sigh.

"Okay mommy. Just for today."

I kiss her forehead and fix the bow on her dress. She looks up at me with light blue eyes. She has curly midnight black hair with natural white highlights. She has blue eyes like me and such a beauty. She is gonna break hearts when she is older.

Amber comes running into my room hugs me. She then kisses Ophelia on the cheek and they both blush.

"Hi Lia..." Amber says shyly, twiddling with get thumb.

"Hi Amie." Ophelia said and turns a darker red when Amber smiles at her. Awe.

"Uncle RyRy, papa asked if your ready?"

"Tell Ryan I'm almost."

She nodded her head and pecked Ophelia's cheek again before she ran our at the room. I chuckled at them and finished getting ready. Once done i grab Lia's hand and head downstairs.

I'm greeted by my father Levi, Raven and Amber. I look at Raven and wonder why he isn't out side.

"Amber wouldn't leave without Ophelia." He spoke quietly.

I nodded and told Ophelia to go with Raven and Amber. Once they were gone I turned to my Dad and looked him in the eye.

"I'm proud of you Ryder."

I looked at him teary eyed. He open his arms and i ran into them. He hugged me tight while I cried. He calmed me down after a few minutes and kissed my forehead. He pulled back and whipped my tear stained face.

"Lets get you down to Chase, eh?" He chuckled.

I beamed at him and nodded my head. I hooked my arm through his out stretched one and he walked at the back door. Everyone stood and the music started playing. I walked down the aisle with a tight grip on my father. I'm so scared. I look Chase up and down. He looked amazing. He had on a black tux with his hair ruffled lazily on top of his head. He also has a little stubble on his face. It was really attractive.

He smiled at me and I mentally swooned. I finally reach him and smiled.
