Words

If my words could save the world, I'd never stop writing,
If my shouts could change minds, I'd never stop fighting,
If my passion was fuel, I'd keep the torch lighting,
If my words could save one person, I'd never stop writing.

If my words were a door to the only way free,
I'd write a description to help find the key,
I'd write enough words so everyone could see,
That this was all for them, and not for me.

But my words have no such power,
And they say actions speak louder,
So I sit here and cower,
At the thought of such an hour,

Where the world relies on my words.
