Ariana pov

Over the next two days I got a hold of rains mother turns out she didn't have a place to stay so she's looking for work and to help her out I told her I'd watch rain and if she needed I could give her a room in which she declined nicely but I still wasn't so happy with her. Anyway currently me and rain where at the café me working and her on my phone watching criminal minds which I was surprised at first because that show gave me nightmares but she seemed to like it so I let her because she's so adorable. While watching the show she kept saying how much she liked Reid which was also very adorable aha. About thirty minutes into my shift in walked Venny something about him made me cautious so I ended up canceling our date because I just got a bad feeling but nonetheless I still greeted him with a professional smile and asked him the usual
"How may I help you sir?" I asked maintaining my nerves.

"Oh cmon Ariana you don't remember me now?" He replied with a chuckle his pearly whites showing.

"Aha I remember but I'm on duty so I can't really talk a lot" I said using my work as an excuse

"understandable well i'll like the Carmel latte and a breakfast bar please" he said looking at the menu in deep thought, I have to admit he was very attractive.

I smiled and told him the amount he had to pay and gave him his drink and breakfast bar which he thanked me and told me to and I quote "to not  forget our date" in which all I did to reply was say "have a good day" and smiled because I'm a savage...just kidding i did that because I was nervous and didn't know what else to do.

After my shift I called Stephen and told him about Venny in which he told me he was coming over.

(At my home)

"Hey Stephen" I exclaimed exited to see him since he had been busy so I guess I missed him..? Whatever
"Hey princess" he said to me and gave me a hug as soon as rain heard his voice she ran and jumped in his arms "STEPHEN I MISSED YOU!!" She said "I missed you too babydoll what have you guys been doing?" He said giving her a big hug
"Oh nothing hey do you know who Venny is?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows "ah yes I'm pretty familiar with him" he said looking at me and in return I gave him a confused look because I didn't understand how he knew him.

"Well he likes Ariana but I don't like him" she said Making a unpleasant face

"Well I don't like him either" Stephen said chuckling at her expressions
I smiled and went back to making my spaghetti (I eat a lot of pasta so) while I was doing that stephen went to watch a show with rain she had been sitting in his lap sucking her thumb I guess she never let go of that stage bc she does it quite often. About thirty minutes or so later I feel arms wrap around my waist and warmth takes over my body and i blush "what are you doing?" I ask laughing a little "hugging you duh" he said like it was an everyday thing "hm" I hummed in response turning off the stove  stephen let go and grabbed three plates setting the table I placed the spaghetti on the plates and looked over to Stephen and he was trying to wake up rain they looked so adorable.  When rain woke up we went to the table and all ate in silence until rain started asking questions
"Stephen when are you going to ask Ariana to marry I mean that's what happens in my princess books" she said nonchalantly
I almost choked on my spaghetti
I quickly looked up at Stephen he looked at her and smiled pinching her cheek then looked at me with a unknown emotion making my knees go weak if I were to be standing I would've fell he smiled at me in return I looked away.
"Also My real mommy knew Venny and he's a bad man" rain said like she Was just remembering 
"He is a very bad man and I want both of you to stay away from him" Stephen said sternly looking at me (looking all daddyish- ) "why? I mean i'll stay away from him but what did he do?" I asked looking at rain and ten to Stephen
"I can't say in front of rain" he whispered which rain caught on To and started whining she's so cute I thought and I nodded understanding why he wouldn't tell me.
After dinner I cleaned up and put on some movies and laid out blankets I guess I didn't want Stephen to leave so I begged him to stay which surprisingly wasn't that hard. We talked, laughed and watched movies the rest of the night also may have had a pillow fight until we all fell asleep.
