I know you better than you know you
You tell me things you want to do
I listen with care, and speak what you need to hear
That's as best as I can explain this past year
I know about you, I know your heart
You can't see it and it's tearing me apart
How do you think you're less than what you are?
How can you not see that sparkling star?
In you is a light that you've tried to hide
Quit it. Let that thing shine
Hurt is a thing we all go through
But hey, I'm right here with you
You need to stop thinking too much about what you've done
The past is past your journey's just begun
Your story isn't on the last page
It's only getting better with age
I can tell what you've been through. I see it in your eyes
You don't need to tell me, but stop wearing that disguise
Take off that mask. Show the world your face
Stop putting yourself last in this race
You need to see what I can see, you need to see your heart
You need to pull away that mask, and see a work of art
Life is hurtful, life is hard.
Life will kick you, and leave the scars
But the beauty of scars is, they all help you grow
Look back at your life, and tell me that's not so
You've made it this far, you'll finish the race
Just close your eyes and stay at a steady pace
You are loved beyond reason, though you think that's not true
Look up at the sky
Someone loves you.-Jaléna Scott

PoetryI may not be the best story teller, but I do enjoy writing poems from time to time. Here is a collect of some of the poems I've written over the years, ranging from 2016 to present. New updates will be coming in as I get more inspiration. Enjoy!
