Mycroft

If for some reason you aren't caught up on the show, there are some spoilers ahead.

Being friends with Mycroft would include:

Living nearby when you were kids

Being the same age

Going to school together

Fighting off bullies for him (you know he got picked on a lot)

Trying to get into the same college so you guys don't have to split up

Not quite making it in, so you get a job on campus and go to community college

He's disappointed that you couldn't go to a college that could help you realize your full potential, but he's glad he still gets to see you

Constantly teasing Sherlock

Mycroft's parents loving you

People thinking that you guys are together

Both of you constantly correcting them

Calling him Myc to bug him

Him calling you a goldfish to bug you

When Mycroft gets into the government, you join the military

He's appalled when he finds out, but he knows he can't stop you

You serve for a few years, but are honorably discharged when you jump on a grenade to save your fellow soldiers

You made a miraculous recovery

Except for your leg, which is why you were discharged

Mycroft nearly has a stroke when he finds out that you jumped on a grenade

When you can finally leave the hospital, Mycroft sends a car to bring you to his office

He tells you how insane you are for risking your life

Then he hugs you and tells you how proud he is of you

Despite everything you saw and experienced in the service, you can still act like a six year old

Mycroft pretends to be annoyed by it

But really he's relieved that war hasn't changed you too much

When you see Sherlock again, he groans, but then smiles and hugs you

John is speechless because a Holmes brother just smiled and  hugged someone

You and John have no problem getting along

You start to tag along to crime scenes, much to Mycroft's dismay

You assure him that you won't be chasing after criminals, though

He has Anthea keep an eye on you anyway

You know he's doing this, but you just keep your mouth shut

After several months though, you finally suggest that you just live with him to ease his nerves

He agrees and tries to say it was his idea to begin with

You don't bother fighting him on it, simply leaving it be

Over time, you and Anthea become good friends

When Sherlock fakes his death, you freak out, and when you learn that he was still alive and that Mycroft didn't tell you, you ignore him for two weeks

When John meets Mary, he can't wait for you to meet her

He hopes you like her, and he's not too worried about it, seeing as she's amazing and you get along well with most people, especially the amazing ones

You and Mary get along very well, and you can tell John really loves her

When Mary dies, you offer to help with Rosie

You do so because you don't want to think about having lost another friend too soon

Mycroft can tell that you're not okay, but you just keep saying that you are

Finally, he finds you crying as you look through pictures of Mary

He doesn't say a word

He knows you don't need him to

He just sits with you for hours until you fall asleep

When you do, he gently dries your tears and drapes a blanket over you

You remember Eurus quite well as she had always liked you

There were very few people who didn't need to be afraid of her, and you were one of them

When everything at Sherrinford goes down, you sit at home trying not to lose your mind with worry

When Mycroft comes back, you run to hug him

"You know you're never leaving my side again, right?"

"I figured."
