Sayaka

There was once a girl who was normally lonely and very quiet. Sometimes, people wondered what happened to her, why was she so quiet? Was she deaf? Or simply mute? She did have a friend, a very good one at that. Though her friend could never get her to talk. The girl had a reason to it, that reason, you might ask, well, even I don't know. The girl, named Sayaka, always had a small smile, but it never seemed to reach her eyes. Sayaka would smile through most times, even through sad times. Her smile not leaving, her eyes showing her feeling, though only a glimmer of it. Sayaka's friend would try to get her to talk, or show more emotion than just a simple smile, but they hardly get her to do it. What they did get her to do, was whisper a small "thank you", very faintly could they hear it. Katelyn was surprised to hear that, she even looked everywhere but at Sayaka to look for the words she had heard. When she kept the confused look, she then heard a small giggle of sorts. Katelyn looked at Sayaka, finally realizing it was her that said it, and she was stunned. Sayaka looked at Katelyn, giving her usual, small smile, this time, it reached her eyes. Katelyn enjoyed the smile, and was overjoyed that Sayaka had said something. Suddenly, Sayaka was engulfed in a hug, she gave a small noise of suprise, making it sound of confusion instead. "You sound lovely." Katelyn said, hiding her face in the crook of Sayaka's neck. Sayaka was surprised, to say the least, she was wide eyed and, for once, lost her smile that meant nothing. She slowly put her arms around Katelyn too, giving a small 'mm' as a confirmation. She was unknowingly, for both her and Katelyn, flustered.
