I believe it was the afternoon. I was heading over to my friend Sebastian's apartment complex for the celebration of his Birthday. I don't usually celebrate anything , but he is my best friend. Well, my only friend, so what else will I do? I walk in through the rusty door and get the same numbing, yet, pulsating feeling i always do when i enter, with it quickly coming and going. Sebastian lives in a very old and decrepit building, with broken down elevators and moldy walls. If you were quite enough, you would hear the same obnoxious, exuding drip of a run down faucet from a neighboring lot, as if a metronome was hiding in the walls.
Apart from the feeble and horrific flat, the people who lived here served with decorum, and decriminalized any rough play. Decrescendo had never occurred, as musical entertainment has always been at a low rate.
Sebastian lives in an eight story abode, and he lives on the seventh. I make my way towards the stairs to the left of the building, past the management office. Before one can ascend on these stairs, they must walk through a hallway, covered in all sorts of muck and torn wallpaper. Again as i said, the elevator was broken so there was all sorts of caution tape strewn about the area.
It's as if i was just walking in on a movie set for a horror cliche'. It was no cliche' but it was truly horror! I must say, anyone, no EVERYONE needs to see what i saw in that hallway after i fell into the Earth's dark, hidden grasps. Shock will appal you and will scare you out of your wits and senses.
As i start making my way up the tricky, feeble, stairs, they start to creak and whine, begging for mercy for me to step off. Zephyr stirred through the cracks in the walls. I stop dead in my tracks, feeling nauseous, i have this stinging feeling of deja vu. I have been here before, but this feels different than a memory. As quickly as it came, it went away just like that.
