Star's POV
I was slowly going down while I was still attached to the net. Even though I had kind of accepted this, I was still a little bit scared.
I looked at the humanoid lizard, his name still at the tip at my tongue. Then I said, "What the heck do you want with me?"
He smirked and said, "Well, to destroy you, of course."

Marco's POV
When all of us were walking back home, I wanted to check on Star.
"Guys, you can go on ahead without me. I'm heading to the forest to see if Star is alright," I said. Janna, without looking off of her phone said, "Alright, dude. See you at school."
Then I headed off to the forest.

The usual creepiness didn't bother me this time. Maybe she's under that tree again, I thought. I was about to walk there when I realized there was footprints. I examined them carefully and looked up.
I saw there was a wooden cabin, the door still open. I decided to see if she's in there. I carefully entered the cabin, and I saw Star, strangled up in a net, above alligators.
"Star?" I practically yelled.
She looked up at me. "Marco? What are you doing here?" She said.
All of a sudden, a lizard wearing a suit appeared in front of me.
"Hmm. I didn't expect company to see Ms. Butterfly get destroyed." He said.
I stared at him in shock. I tried to squeeze myself in there, to save Star.
Instead, he picked me up like I was a piece of trash.
He took me inside, and I looked at Star. I could see her eyes were filled with fear.
"Let Star go!" I yelled.
He laughed at that and said, "Not going to happen, unless I tell the truth. The name's Toffee."
He then said, " Want to know why your girlfriend was at the forest all the time?"
"Uh, she's not my girlf-" I started, but he interrupted me.
"To steal this little crystal. She needed it for her mother. The crystal was to destroy this dimension, Earth. I'm her mother's arch nemesis, so she wanted to get rid of this dimension. Everything in it, cities, houses, even you," He held up what looked like half of a shiny broken heart.
My jaw dropped in disbelief.
He still continued to talk. "I told her to choose between the crystal, or the Earth dimension. Do you know what she chose? The crystal."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Star was only here for a mission, a mission to destroy Earth?
"This can't be true," I muttered under my breath.
Somehow, he heard me. "Oh, it's all true. Isn't it, Star?"
She looked defeated. Even though, she didn't say yes or no. Or even nod.
"Still want to save her? I'm not stopping you this time, since you know the truth," Toffee explained.
"Yes, let her go." I said.
"If you say so." He told me, pulling the lever so the alligator trap closed. The trap then untangled and Star dropped to the ground.
She got up and dusted off her jeans, then stood there awkwardly.
So, I took her hand and led her outside. I looked at Toffee one more time on our way out, and he was smirking.

When we got outside, I let go of her hand and put mine in my pocket.
We then started walking back to the house. The silence then broke by Star saying, "Um, thanks for saving me, again,"
I smiled a little bit and said, "No problem,"
The fact that Star was only on Earth for a mission bothered me. Was becoming her friend a good thing now?
I thought about it now. She didn't even care about me, only cared for a crystal to destroy Earth.

We finally got back to the house. I opened the door and I went straight into my room, without saying anything.

Star's POV
Well, isn't this great. Marco now knows the truth about everything, and now he probably hates me.
I sighed and went to my room. I called my mom, dialing her number on my phone.
When she finally picked up, the only sentence I said to her was, "Mom, I think it's time I go home now."
