(Applejack's POV)
Christmas Eve, the day before Christmas. Honestly, this is one of my favourite holidays of the year. Christmas dinner, Christmas presents, Christmas trees and Christmas songs!
I got interrupted from my thoughts by my cellphone ringing. I answered the phone call without reading the caller ID.
"Hello?" I questioned, pressing the phone against my ear.
"Hey big sis! It's me, Applebloom!" I heard my sister from the other line.
"Oh hey Applebloom! How are ya doin'? I miss you so much!" I told her as a smile started to form on my face.
"I'm good! What about you? I miss you too big sis!" She told me, enthusiastic.
"Haha I'm good too!" I replied.
"Are you still gonna spend the Christmas here in Apple Acres?" She asked me, excitedly.
The smile on my face faded away, quickly. I took a deep breath and replied,
"Um... Applebloom... I'm sorry but I don't think I can..."
"What!? Why?!" She cried out, "Ever since you became famous, you never had time to stay with us! You promised that you would come here for Christmas last month!"
"Management won't let us go to our hometowns since we're working on our new album. I'm sorry Applebloom but we're very busy lately..." I told her as I felt guilt inside of me. I heard loud sobbing from the other line, coming out from my little sister.
"I hate you! I hate you Applejack!!" She yelled. Before I could respond, she hanged up.
Those three hateful words came out of her mouth really hurt my feelings. I felt tears forming in as I sobbed loudly. I really, really wanted to spend time with my family. I swiftly wiped my tears as I heard my hotel door open. I faced the door to see Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie with worried face expressions.
"Hey Applejack are you crying? What's wrong?" Rainbow Dash spoke out as Pinkie Pie closed the door behind her. I looked at them with a sad smile and said,
"I'm fine girls, don't worry about me"
"Dude we've know each other since we were in diapers. We know if you're sad or not and clearly you look hurt. What seems to be the problem?" Pinkie Pie reassured me as she sat down beside me on my bed.
"Well I received a call from my little sister and she asked me if I was gonna spend the Christmas back in Ponyville but I said no since we were busy with our album and then she confessed that she hates me! My own little sister hates me!" I told them. I couldn't hold the tears anymore as I sobbed loudly in front of my best friends. I felt pairs of arms wrapped around me as I continued crying.
"Applejack I don't think she really meant it. She really misses you and she wants you home. She really loves you." My best friend, Rainbow, tried to reassure me.
"You should get some rest Applejack. We have to go to the studio tomorrow morning." Pinkie Pie informed me as she kissed my forehead. I smiled at them as they left my hotel room. I sighed as I went to the bathroom and did my routine. After that I climbed on my bed as I pulled the sheets to cover my body. I closed my eyes as sleep started to take over me.

The next morning we were in the studio recording one of newest songs, Want You Back. I yawned as I took a sip of my coffee. Who the hell works on the day of Christmas? This is total bullshit!
"Applejack! You're next" our studio recorder, Lawrence said. (a/n I don't know the name of the actual job thing! 😅)
I walked in the recording booth, putting my headphones on. Lawrence started to play the track from the other room as I started to sing my part with the rhythm of the music.
