I am Katy, I am sixteen and I love to dance. I have dance ever since I was two. I use to twirl in circles, now I do competitive dance, it is so fun, I get to do a lot of solos. I can do a split and twenty-seven cavilers in a row, or at lest I use to be able to do these things, until I was diagnosed with cancer.
I am sixteen, and I have bone cancer. I found this out one day, I was at a competition and I was dancing, when I couldn't feel my legs anymore. Next thing I knew, I was on the floor. I couldn't feel my legs, I couldn't move them at all. I tried and tried, but I couldn't move them, I start to panic. I cry out for help. The music cuts off, the curtains closed and a flood of people came on stage, the first being my mother and sister. We rode to the hospital, got into a room, they ran some tests and that's when we got the news. I had my legs amputated and now I live life with no legs. I was homeschooled for a while, and this is my first year in a real school since I was seven.
