If you're a regular reader of my book, you'll know that I'm a massive fan when it comes to @harleyjackson24. I might even make a bold statement like the fact that she might even be one of my favourite writers on Wattpad. And in this case, "Different Lights" might be one of my favourites among her many stories. Harley has a way of making historical fiction, refreshingly contemporary. In such cases as the Harry Potter universe, where the setting is already modern, her writing style really speaks to her hundreds of readers. What makes "Different Lights" an even more pleasurable read is the fact that instead of writing her usual Percy Jackson fanfictions, she makes an unpredictable choice by writing for one of the most popular fandoms here on Wattpad. That statement should by no means discourage you from reading as her writing style is not generic or Main stream. While I admit some of her choices and plot twists may give off at that appearance, it is important to remember each reader has their own interpretation and perspective.
The book tells the story of a teenaged girl named Avi who is studying at The Hogwarts School Of Witch Craft And Wizardry. To answer the burning question that is on all of our minds, she is in fact a slytherin. She gets into trouble constantly, escaping detention is kind of a talent for her as well as dying a certain Gryffindor's hair green and generally making all kinds of mischief. So when there is a house exchange program, she winds up lastly in Gryffindor, the house of the brave. She meets a certain Gryffindor who particularly catches her eye and things start to change..
