I've noticed that there isn't a lot of content on him even though he's a tall cutie. So, I shall write content myself. The reader will be fem too.^_^ and this is kind of more of the reader just interacting with Ushijima so I hope that's cool. Enjoy!

Transferring schools had never particularly bothered you. Your parents jobs required them to travel and move a lot, so you were used to it. In fact, you saw every new school that you went to as an opportunity to try new things. For instance if you were in band at one school and didn't like it, no problem! You could join the art club at your new school or the tennis club or even the yearbook club.

This time you were going to attend Shiratorizawa Academy. You had heard great things about the Shiratorizawa volleyball club and you wondered if you were good enough to join the girls team. Warming the bench wouldn't bother you either, as long as you could put it on your transcript next to the many other clubs you had joined from other schools.

On the first day of school you decided to go early just to scope out the scene. You biked there and figured it wouldn't hurt to check out the gymnasium. If you could find it at least...

"H-Holy crap. This school is fancy...they have horses...and it looks like the volleyball club has its own gym!? But where--"

"Excuse me, do you need some help? You look very lost." a deep voice stated from behind you, and you jumped in place. Turning your head you saw a surprisingly tall guy looking down at you with the most stoic expression ever. He had on a white and purple athletic uniform and black sneakers. There were a few sweat beads on the sides of his face so it seemed like he had just stopped exercising.

"Well, since you have that uniform on I'm assuming that you know which way the volleyball gym is? I'm new...so I guess I am lost."

"Yes I know where the gym is." he replied, motioning for you to follow him. Suddenly he broke out into a fast jog, much to your disdain. You could barely keep up with him, especially since your backpack was weighing you down significantly and your hair was blowing into your face. He peered over his shoulder at you and raised an eyebrow.

Huh...he must be used to leaving people in the dust. Well joke's on you buddy I've been on so many sports teams before you don't even know!

"You're here early. Why?" he asked you, still keeping up his fast pace.

"I...want an in."

"An in?"

"Yeah...if I'm early...maybe they'll put me on the team faster..." you said through your ragged breathing.

"I don't believe that's how it works. You have to have talent and skills to be on the volleyball team here. The boys and girls team." he said, slowing down and coming to a full-stop next to a huge metal gymnasium with incredible glass windows and a sweet connected club room.

"Wow..."

"Did you hear me?"

"Yeah yeah, talent and skills and stuff. I think I get it...but honestly I wouldn't mind spending time here, even if I don't even get to play. I've never seen a volleyball gym like this before."

"...Where are you from?"

"All around...to be honest my last school didn't make much of an impression on me so I don't even remember its name."

"That's strange." he said, motioning for you to follow him into the gym. "This way...I don't think anyone will be here though--"

"So how are we gonna get in?"

"I have a key of course." he replied, fishing a small silver key out of his pocket. You raised your eyebrow and thought to yourself that he must be pretty important to have his own key of the gym. But you didn't ask him about it.

He unlocked the large double doors, and pushed them open, making your heart race with anticipation. He walked inside with you following close behind. The gym floor was the first thing you noticed.

"Woah! I-It's a real volleyball floor! This school is crazy cool!!"

"Well...it is a volleyball gym after all."

"Yeah you're probably used to having this huh? By the way what's your name?" you asked him, as you sat down and slipped off your shoes so you could walk around the gym.

"Ushijima Wakatoshi, what's your name?"

"Y/n...wait...Ushijima? I've heard that name before. I think one of my old friends was talking about you! You're a high school volleyball legend aren't you!" you exclaimed, shooting up from the floor, your eyes wide.

"I would say that I am pretty good." Ushijima said his dark hazel eyes not even looking at you. If you remembered correctly Ushijima was the ace of the Shiratorizawa team! How could you not recognize him until now?

"Y-Yeah you're amazing! And you're left-handed too which is awesome in its own right! Now it makes sense why you have a key to the entire gym." you said, your eyes scanning over the huge building before focusing on the tall volleyball legend in front of you.

"Well, it's a big responsibility because we only have two keys. I'll show you around y/n. Here is where we keep our supplies..."

Holy crap he's so nonchalant! Doesn't he know how famous he is!?

You barely listened to him, your mind was distracted by how modest he seemed. He was the guy to beat when it came to high school volleyball and yet he was so blunt and down to earth. Definitely not what you were expecting that's for sure.

"U-Ushijima...what's it like?"

He stopped talking about the gym and looked over his shoulder at you. "What's what like?"

"What's it like...being loyal to a school? And have people shout your name because you're the best?" you asked him, your voice becoming quiet. Ushijima seemed to ponder your question for a bit before answering.

"Being loyal to a school is nice because I can see how much I've grown based on how I do at this school and people shouting my name makes me feel pressured...but also needed. I like being the leader of my team because of my own pride. I hope that answers your question y/n."

"Y-Yeah, that's pretty wise Ushijima." you said, his words sinking into your mind. "I hope I can be loyal to this school. And that I can have my own strong sense of pride someday."

"You will. You're very pretty too so you have that to fall back on if volleyball doesn't work out." Ushijima stated. Your mouth hung open in surprise at his sudden compliment.

"I-I...t-thanks." you replied lamely, your cheeks burning hot.

"I'm just being honest." he said with a neutral expression. "I haven't finished my tour yet y/n."

"O-Oh! Right yes...please continue."

He nodded and pointed to the new-looking volleyball net and you became lost in thought again. You hoped you could stay at this school for a while and have Ushijima compliment you more and give you his words of wisdom.

I will definitely try my best at volleyball in the meantime! Thank you Ushijima!
