Maybe Death is the Only Way ( jeff x ben) [ON HOLD]

chapter 2: First Mission and First Feelings.

ben's pov

I rolled around in my new bed, smiling and laughing like a retard. I saw jeff roll his eyes.

" dont fright precious im here. step away from the window. go back to sleeeeeeeeeeeeep" went off someones phone. I imagined it was jeffs, after all his killing quote is go to sleep.

" hello?" jeff answered, " yea.... yes sir.... we're on it. you can count on us."

jeff ended the call, grabbed me and pinned me against the wall. a slight blush went across my face. jeff got really close to me, and then went over to my ear.

" dont. ruin. this. mission. for. us." jeff said with yet another raspy voice. fear stuck me. I tried my best to hide it, and luckily succeeded. he pulled away and looked me straight in the eye, no expression on his face. stern and leadership was written on his face.

" will you screw this up?" jeff asked. I shook my head. he smiled and said, " now thats a good boy!" I rolled my eyes and pushed him off of me playfully. he laughed as he fell to the ground with a thud.

" what's the mission gonna be?" I asked.

" this is one of the harder missions. we did great in battle, better than hoodie and masky." hearing his name struck fear into my heart. jeff closed his eyes and continued. " the missions is to sneak into zalgo's house and steal something that was stolen from us not to long ago. he sent me a picture."

jeff shows me the picture. it was a small, golden necklace. it had the symbol of slender man, blue and black gems circled around the symbol. " woah...." I said, stunned.

" we cant screw this up, we only got one shot at this. if we get caught, its either we get killed or we get jailed up, waiting to get executed." jeff looked up at me, making me look away embarrassed...

wait... why am I embarrassed?

I just met him, it kinda obvious we are friends now.

" hey jeff, do you have my back when we do this mission?"

" of course, we are friends and we are partners. I would feel horrible if my partner died and I wasnt able to save them in any way."

I smiled at that. a small, bloody girl with long, curly brown hair came running into the room. she stood in front of jeff, holding a teddy bear in front of her chest. " jeffy! I got another kill today!!" she smiled and jumped up and down.

" that's great sally, can you do me a favor and ask slendy when I am suppost to leave?" jeff asked. sally smiled again. " thats why I came in here. slender said you have to leave asap. its important you go now. what is your mission this time?!" sally asked.

" we are going to get something back, that's all," jeff smiled. " come on ben, lets go." jeff held out his hand, beckoning me to grab it.

I steadily reached to grab his hand, and took it.

he squeezed my hand tight and dragged me along with him. we made our way to the portal that was outside.

it had a big huge sign on it that said zalgo's mancion. me and jeff glanced at each other then back to the purple and pink mixed portal. it swayed around in clockwise, the colors of purple and pink slowly mixing together.

it looks like it wasn't used in ages. I was about to jump in, but jeff grabbed onto me, holding me back. " let me make sure its safe..." he said, throwing a ticking knife into portal. after a few seconds of silence the bomb went off.

the force of the smoke blew my black beanie  away, luckily I caught it before it went out of my reach. " ok, lets go!" jeff yelled, jumping into the portal.
