Chapter 9- My childhood friend

HELLO MY DEAR READERS. Some of you might not know but the authors of this story are actually not one, but three. We talk about the plot of the story. Few days after we grew tired. Two of them agreed that I could continue the story on my own. So ENJOY!!!!

Vitus POV (something different?)

I still don't know why Laura hasn't recognize me yet. "Uh.... Laura?" I asked then took a sip of my drink. "What?" She replied. "Do you......not recognize me or something?". She stared at me, thinking. "Uhhhhh........well your blue spiky hair seems familiar though...uhhh nope i guess." She examined. I sighed.

"Okay then." I replied. An akward silence took over the atmosphere. "Hey guys?" Mei-mei broke the silence. "What?" Abby asked. "Did you heard that?" Mei-mei asked looking for the source of the sound. I just shrugged. Laura heard it too. Laura stood up and followed the noise.

Laura came back with something she was holding. A cute little black cat. Her arms were crossed and the cat was hanging on her arms. We stared at the little cat and waited for Laura's reaction. "Isn't this cat adorable?" Laura mumbled but loud enough for everybody to hear.

"......What?" Mei-mei asked. Abby burst out to laughter. The boys were just shocked and frozen. "I FORGOT TO TELL YOU GUYS THAT LAURA IS WEAK ON CUTE THINGS!!!!!" Abby bursted out with more laughter. "So what? She's cute. And to cute animals, not things." Laura patted the cat's head. "She?" I asked. 

"Yep. Oh right this cat was scratching on the door. I opened the door to see she was in a box." Laura explained. Laura faced the cat to her. She holded it up. "Let's name her Diamond!!!" Laura shouted. "That's a great name. The pet of our group, Diamond!!!" Abby said. Laura gave the cat to Abby.

Abby then put the cat down. "Meow~~ 3:" Diamond purred. "I think she's hungry" Tristan patted the cat. "Why don't we get food and stuff for her?" Skyler suggested. "That's a good idea! I'll go to the store and get some. Be right back." Mei-mei dissapeared. Laura played with the cat until Mei-mei comes back.

Mei-mei came back with a plastic bag. She washed the containers then put the cat food and lay it on the floor. Diamond started eating it. I remembered something. I took out my ice necklace that said L&V. "Hey Laura...." I called out to her. "Hm?" I took off the necklace and showed it to her. "Do you remember this from anywhere?" I asked hopefully that she will remember. She gasped. "So anything?" I asked moving closer. 

"H-hey.... That's.. the necklace I gave to my childhood friend...... Vitus." Laura remembered. "Vitus?!" Everybody stood there frozen. Vitus smiled. "Yes I knew you still remember me!" I hugged Laura. Laura was still shocked though. We broke apart.

Laura POV

Vitus..... I remember now. We broke apart the hug and I looked at the others. "Care to explain?" Abby asked. "Fine another flashback." I sighed

*flashback*

I was crying and crying in the corner of my classroom. I was 5 years old then. I saw a rubber ball roll up to me. "Hey black haired kid!!! Can you pass that ball?" A blue haired boy pointed at the ball next to me. I just ignored it and cry more. "Hey what's the matter?" He asked as he grab the ball himself. "Nothing" I replied boldly.

"Come one you can tell me." He begged. "My classmates keeps telling me that I'm so weak and small. Also that they said that my mom is a single mother and so ugly." I sobbed. He patted my head. "Who cares what they say? They're just so judgemental. Even to your mom. Everybody is weak and small at once. I know you are strong, I feel it so stop crying." He said with a comforting tone. 

I stopped crying and he hugged me. "By the way, I'm Vitus Plasma. What's your name?" He asked with a big and toothy smile. "I'm Laura. Laura Hamilston." I said smiling.

*end of flashback*

"So Vitus was first before us?!" Abby and Mei-mei exclaimed. I nodded. "UNFAIR!!!!" They said in unison again. "When we were 8 we took a bath together." Vitus pointed out. I punched him lightly. Abby and Mei-mei got pissed and started pinching and punching Vitus. "WHAT?!" "YOU STUPID LITTLE SHEET!!!" "YOU LITTLE FECKER!!!" Abby and Mei-mei shouted at Vitus. Tristan and Skyler just had a poker face. I sweat dropped.

"Guys relax, we were just kids!!!" I successfully calmed them down. "Still though." Mei-mei puffed. "Well..... What about that L&V necklace thingy.... And its made of Ice...... Did you make this Laura?" Abby asked in confusion. I nodded. "Well here it goes" I started again.

*flashback*

"What did he do to you?!?!" Vitus shouted. He stared at my new look. I told him about the 'expirement'  of Plasma to me. "He just did a few changes on me." I said calmy. "FEW?!?! You called that few. I asked you a lot of questions just to know you are really Laura!" Vitus shouted loudly again. "Look I'm going straight to the point. I need to move away so Plasma can't find me again." I said calming Vitus down.

But he just cried more. He kneeled down. I kneeled down too. "no...No...NO!" Vitus exclamined. I used my powers to make and ice necklace. I gave it to Vitus. "Here." He looked up and looked at the necklace. "What does L&V means?" He asked. "Laura&Vitus" I said smiling. He took it and wore it. "Thanks." He said still crying.

"Bye Vitus." I said as I walked away.

*End of flashback"

"Wait a minute." Mei-mei said. "Why did you have red hair suddenly WHILE we were at school if you already had the expirement before you met us?" Mei-mei asked. Abby realized. "Yeah why?" Abby asked. "I was hiding myself before. I tried to hide my powers but I gave up." I sighed. Abby and Mei-mei nodded in understandment. 

Diamond suddenly purred. Abby gave her some water. I rubbed the spiky hair of Vitus. He got pissed and rubbed mine. "Dammit." I fixed my hair as we talked changed the subject a few times. "How did you find me anyway?" I asked. "Well I found out that you were going in this city so I travelled here until I found Skyler and Tristan, which was a coincedence that we found out we're your opposites." He explained.

"I didn't know we were opposites when we were kids..." I said. "Me neither." We started playing house games in the rain. We had fun games until night time. "The rain isn't stopping... How about a sleepover!!!!" Skyler shouted. "That's a great idea!" Tristan and the others agreed. "Sure." I replied. "I'll set up the guest room" I said walking away. In the room we watched movies overnight then slept. 

I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
