Stuck. Quiet. Empty. Confused.

I have been thinking how to leave this place.

Sex. A young woman. Me.

A closet full of her clothes. Not mine. It made sense for me that I never attempted to wear them. Allison would have flipped out if she saw me in them.

Today is the middle of the weekday, but Ashton had told the boys that we are spending some time together this week. Only Michael knows that Allison has been around. Where do I stand to Michael? He must think that I am allowing this. In a way, yes. Ashton has been calmer around me because I guess getting laid has done the magic. It's like I can push his sensitive buttons and his impulse had malfunctioned.

Where could have Fletcher possibly gone? I wish he could be here right now. I got to get out of here.

Ashton trained me out of my thoughts,"Piper, I am going out with Allison again. Stay here and don't burn the house down, okay?"

I didn't turn to look at him as I stare out the window of the living room,"Okay."

I hear him press the buttons of the alarm and then leave the house. I watch him get in his car, then look at something else. I reach for my guitar case beside me. Then I take out my bracelet that Fletcher gave to me. Like a blind person, I feel the Angel wing to see the details.

"I will protect you"
He once said you me.
"You won't feel alone again"
He once said to me.

But never did he say that he would come back to visit me again. Fletcher.... I hope he doesn't forget me.

I close my eyes and let the memories of last year flow. When I was 12 and jamming with him.
Those were some good times.

I gotta clear my mind off. I wonder what other kind of things he might have in the house. Heading to his bedroom, I notice he has no pictures on his walls. That's weird... he must be hiding something. I enter his room. The first that caught my attention was the mirror drawer. I did see him with money, before.

Beginning to open the very top; there were coins spread around, watches, a diamond ring, and a wooden box. What is he doing with a diamond ring and all of these watches? I take out the box to open it, but it wouldn't. Looking at the reflection, there was a lock on the other side.

I come back from the bathroom and stick the two pins in it and do the trick. Placing the pins aside, then open it up. So much cash inside! I take them out and start counting the first couple until I saw that there was a false bottom by a little corner of paper sticking out.

Then I pulled it out... pictures. Pictures of him and an older lady: looking like in her 40's. He... smiling. She... loving. I pick up the first stack, looking through them. He was very happy, I observed. His mother was the only person on these pictures with him. Not Allison. Just his mother. This picture, though... they are in the pool together. He had a pool? I finished with the first stack. So next I got the second stack. Nothing but more pictures of her with him. The last one was them in the beach.

I put everything away and close the drawer. Then I look in the rest of the drawers. Only more clothes.

Maybe paying his mother a visit with him will make him let me leave.

Ashton comes home, storming by me in the hallway and into the bedroom. Thud! Something fell or he threw something.
