The very good looking young guy from before came over and sorted us into groups I was praying that I would have Kira but just my luck that didn't happen. Kira was one of the most intelligent people I knew so I was sure she would be fine well as fine as you can be in a situation like this. She gave me a quick hug and ran to follow her group. The only person I remotely knew in my group was a girl from my year 8 class Avia we smiled to each other in passing but other than that we hadn't had a proper conversation for about 6 months. The rest I had seen around school I even knew some of there names but they would have no idea who I was. The young guy was leading us somewhere although I wasn't sure where. I whispered to Avia "Hey." She replied "Hey long time no talk I guess if there was anytime to talk it would be now Kaylee I'm nervous I'm one of the tiniest girls in Year 9 and I'm not that bright these people have no use for me and they will send me to that Sector 153 place I won't last 5 seconds in that place." I was petrified but I knew that I should try and comfort Avia like Kira had for me on the bus. "No one likes the situation we are in Avia remember you are a gorgeous and intelligent girl you need to go into these tests with the mentality that you are going to be perfectly fine. For the moment I am here and if anything happens to you while I'm here I will do everything in my power to stop it." I leaned in and gave her a hug, no one liked being in the situation we were in and we had all had to stick together. After passing many rooms that all looked the same and turning many corners we came to a room I still remember the number of the room, 83 room 83 the room were my fate would be decided. The young guy knocked on the door and a man in a lab coat answered the door he looked to be in his late 30's. The young guy said to the man "Dr Granger these are your first specimens." He simply replied "Thankyou Mitchell." At least i knew someone in this terrible places name. We were told to stand outside the room in the corridor and wait to be told to come in. One by one students came in and out while I was waiting I realised 2 days ago I couldn't have imagined this on my wildest dreams, now this was my reality. Did my parents know I was gone? Did they even care? All these terrible thoughts were running through my mind. Then I heard someone call out "You" and look me straight in the eye it was Dr Granger. This was it my fate was about to be decided. Dr Granger hooked me up to dozens of wires and had me run on a treadmill at different speeds. Needless to say I have never been the best runner and sport had never been my strong point. Then he had me do a number of equations and answer a number of questions. I was better in the books at school but I wasn't especially fantastic at anything. He then typed something into his computer and he told me I could leave and I would get my results once everyone has been tested. I walked out of the room and before I could tell Avia anything her name was called I gave her a smile and the door was shut behind her. When Avia came out Dr Granger followed her and said "I have the results."
