Y/N L/N had never expected her 7th-grade year to be this crazy or painful.
It started so normal, the usual bullies and d&d campaigns every weekend. But to think that a campaign that went on too long to have this much of an effect. It was Mike's idea to have a marathon so it wasn't hard to place the blame on him. But Y/N knew that she should've never let Will go home by himself, especially when it was so late. She never thought she would find a girl soaking in the rain with no hair and superpowers while looking for her best friend. How could Y/N know that this certain girl would lead them back to Will, and ultimately save him? So it was clear to Y/N that she should stop expecting anything to happen,
because her life would never go back to normal.
And a certain redhead was about to make sure of it...

Y/N's POV

I WAS CURRENTLY AT Mike's, just laying around, reading comics. It had become a regular thing for just the two of us to hang out ever since El left. He had gone upstairs while I waited inside El's Fort in his basement.

"Mike, do you copy? Mike, do you copy?" Mike's walkie-talkie beeped from beside me.

I picked it up and pressed the speak button. "Yeah, I copy," I said into the box.

"What are you doing on Mike's walkie, Y/N?" Dustin questioned me, waiting for an answer.

"Nothing. Just hanging out." I replied picking at the sheets of the fort.

"Lucas and I have 6 bucks total," Dustin paused. "What's your guy's haul."

"Well, I have-."

"Y/N! Come on!!" Mike exclaimed from the tops of the stairs, obviously in a hurry

"Gotta go, over and out!" I rushed to turn the walkie-talkie off. I tossed it to the side and made my way out of the fort. I dashed up the stairs quickly reaching the top. I shut the door behind me and came into the hallway. Mike came out of nowhere and grabbed my hand, pulling me with him down the hallway.

"What the hell Mike!" I shouted while I tripped, trying to keep up with Mike.

"I'll pay you back!" Mike shouted down the hall, not answering my question.

"Mike get back here!" Nancy started to chase after us, quickly gaining speed.

"Kids no running in the house!" Mr. Wheeler exclaimed before we burst out of Mike's front door. We grabbed our bikes and started riding to the arcade before Nancy could make it outside.

"What happened!" I shouted, out of breath.

"Asshole" She screamed at Mike. He rolled his eyes and we continued to peddle to the arcade.

"To slay the dragon use the magic sword!" The animated princess gushed, pointing at the sword.

"Oh Jesus, I'm in uncharted territory here guys," Dustin says worriedly, pressing each button faster than before.

"Go go go! " We ushered Dustin, waiting for him to get a better score.
