Standing there was my boyfriend that never bothered to say goodbye. Fear coursed through me as he walked closer.
"Hello, may I say, I'm sorry for inturupting you with your, "boyfriend", whore. I guess you like to play with men, don't you?" he raised an eyebrow with too big of a smirk on his face.
A laugh started to pierce through his lips, which made me scared and twisted. 'I need to get out of here.' I said to myself. Now.
And I did.
My legs pushed and ran behind me, I need to find where I'm going, but i need to blend in, and hide. An idea soon popped inside of my head. I knew what I wanted and needed to do.
Smartly, I used speed to glide through people and their puffins and cologne soon blended with my own. They are human, but you normally can tell where a specific person was if they have a perfume in the other side of the room.
When I son pushed through, I found an arch, which would be hard to find me in, because they wherecrowding behind 3 and making them hidden.
An announcement was made over an overcome, "Everyone, report to the statium, which is around the corner of the ball room. You will meet a surprise."
Fear course through me, my boyfriend might have a chance of being there, because I dont know what he had chosen. Looking down at myself, I new I wasnt ready. My eyes widen like sausers, I dont want to be late and disobey with the instructors, or word in comands. Instead of fonding with the siduation and debating what to do, I turned on my heal and ran toward the dorms again.
When I have arrived trhough the dorms, I pushed in the code the people told me and ran in the room. I ran toward my clothes and chose an outfit that was a black cocktail dress. I pulled some hair back and let the rest either on my sholders and laid down on my back, reaching right above my sholders. I put some black make up on with black eyeliner and mascara. My hair looked slightly curled and amazing against my pale skin. The shoes I wore were black spikes with a strap over my foot, like the marry jane shoes.
I smiled at the mirror and went out and made my way to the directions he said. I ran through the hallways. People were slowing making their own way through the crowd.
There were so many people walking in groups, and some even riding each other. Even some we're making out in the hallways against the wall. I expected that though. Some people choose not to listen, but we aren't the listening type.
Eventually, my following the people actually walking, I found the ball room and went into the stadium I recalled that they instructed us to go.
For some reason, excitement boiled up, I was always the danger type. Was it because I'm finding my dance trainer? Or was it about the danger of being spotted from my boyfriend and friends, but right now, I don't even feel like calling him that, not even anyone anything. I just want to find who would be my dance trainer.
I took a breath before a girl pushing me to the side and entered with who I asumed was her boyfriend. I chose to ignore it and enter in. Her boyfriend though caught my eye with his stare and wink. Which made my blush and squirm under his gase.
I entered through the doors to a white room with blood red sheer wraps hanging form the pools connecting from the roof and flooring. There was a stage with a painted long paper hanging on two polls. The words say, 'Welcome the Masters.'
With confidence, not too cocky though, I walked through the place to find groups and couples walking together. Some were kissing, some where talking, some where walking together. I felt so alone, but I kept my head high.
Moving on, I decided to go deeper into the swarm of an ocean of people. As I got deeper I took in more of my surroundings. I felt drowned with moans and voices and smacking of lips.
"Umm.." a voice cleared his throat behind me. Confused I turned around. I was shocked of who was there. It was a tall boy with blrown slightly curled hair with brown eyes. I was shocked someone wanted to talk to him, but I remained a composed human.
"H-hey..." I said with a huff of a breath. His lips twitched into a smile, "Hey." I could tell he was getting lost into my eyes, but I'm not complaining, I was too.
"My name's Ryder." he said and fully smiled.
"Mine's Rose," I breathed. God I was so pathetic.
"What's a beautiful girl doing so alone." he said and leaned a hand on a pole behind me, "You know in Valorous, that's illigal." he said with a smile across his face.
"Oh?" I said, tilting my head in the light to make my eyes twinkle.
"Yeah, hey, you might be mine, so don't test me," something clicked in my head and relization crossed over me.
"Y-your a-a master?" fear slightly corsed through me.
"It's cool, I came to you, so it's no big de-" a booming voice intrupted us.
"Hello Young Valorous members!" a man with blonde and grey hair said, "my name is Johnny, and I am going to go down the list and asign a master to each one of you, each of you get your own personal one." he continued to ramble and I turned my head to see Ryder already looking at me with his jaw tense in fustration.
"I really hope your mine." he said with pled in his eyes. I nodded I felt the same way, "I need to go." he ushered himself away from me with a slight slouched way.
Hurt for a minute, I turned back, I want someone as sweet as Ryder. But I heard they can get rough, possesive and treat people like slaves to win the dance and become the next ruler.
"OK! Let's start, shall we?" he opened a spiral bound notebook and started reading off the list.
I had a hard time concentrating though. But yet I really just wanted him to read only my name and Ryder's name.
Yes, selfish, I know.
"Rose Casewell is with..." I felt like he paused for so long. Like a drum set was purposely beating this out.
"Chris Cruilli," everything fell dead silent. My heart instantly snapped in half.
The rest of the list fell so quickly down that I didn't realize that it was over.
When they all came out, I found Ryder. a pained expression snapped my heart in two.
When everyone started meeting and leaving with their master I slowly walked up. I didn't know which one was the one named 'Chris'.
I got into the mush of people looking for someone looking at me and ushering me to them. but it never actually happened.
Looking at Ryder was painful because he was hugging and walking away with another woman and didn't pay any attention to me.
My heart clutched tight against my chest.
Until it pounded with a tap on the shoulder.
