Chapter 3

Kaelin's POV

I really can't believe that Skylar likes me. I probably shouldn't have reacted the way I did. But whatever I like Sloan and I should talk to her.

'Hey Sloan' I say that as i smile

'Hey'

'We need to talk'

 *Sloan sighs*

I looked up to see her. Her face so pleasantly beautiful. Hey eyes, they were chestnut brown, her lips they were small but so perfect, I've wanted to kiss them  for the longest time possible. As I come back from gazing at Sloan I see Skylar and I start to panic.

'Hey, I'm not here to talk to you.' Skylar said to me.

'Sloan can I talk to you?'

'Yeah sure.'

*In the field*

Skylar's POV

Before I tell her what I need to tell her, I start to panic. Wondering if what I'm about to do is worth it, I mean it's literally for a boy that doesn't even care about how I feel. Is it really worth it, ruining my not so strong friendship with Sloan.

'Earth to Skylar...'

'Right, sorry. I'll get right to the point.'

'Okay. but why do you seem so nervous?'

'I like Kaelin'

'All right.'

*Sloan starts walking away*

I stare at her as she walks away. I think to myself 'WOW' 

As soon as i get home, I rush to my bedroom, drop my bag and sit on the bed. I gaze at my comforter and a tear runs on my cheek, I wipe it away and pretend like everything is okay. But it wasn't, isn't. Although I didn't even understand why I just knew it wasn't.

I am definitely dreading going to school tomorrow but I have to go.

'I have to see them but that's okay, I've been in 3 school plays, I'm sure acting won't be that hard.' I say to myself with the desire of getting through tomorrow. 'Go sleep and pray that they don't already loathe you.' I speak to myself again.

*darkness hits the room*
