My parents and I don't really get along. At all. Except lately, ever since we got home from visiting our family for Christmas. We were finally getting along, the air was always positive around us. Until today. I was on the phone with my boyfriend. My parents have two cameras. One in our kitchen, one in our family room. I cuss a fair amount, and my mom checks the cameras (which have audio) and overhears all my cussing. I didn't know about this. So all week she's acting odd and upset a bit, and I ask her every day what's wrong, and I always get "Nothing". So today I finally asked why she's been different since she went back to work. She says she heard the kind of person I truly am and believes my behavior the last two weeks is me FAKING IT. I'm so hurt and upset because I finally was able to let my guard down with her and she's telling me I'm a fake.
Am I overreacting?
