Chapter one

Here it is!

Laura's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring into my ear. I stumbled out of bed to check the calendar. Once I saw the date I jumped up. Today is the day I get to go back to California to see Ross. Ross as in my best friend from when I was little! I hurried up putting on a yellow dress with a pair of yellow converse. I went downstairs and ate breakfast. "Laura time to go!" my mom shouted. "Coming!" I yelled. I zoomed down the stairs and the next thing I knew we were in California. "Okay let's go!" I yelled jumping up and down. "Okay we're coming" Vanessa said laughing. I rolled my eyes. We pulled into our old house. Right next door to Ross! I ran out of the car and next door. I knocked on the door and waited. A tall blonde girl opened the door. "Hello?" she said. Rydel. "RYDEL!" I yelled. "Um who are you?" she said. "Its me Laura!" I exclaimed. "LAURA!" she yelled hugging me. "Oh my goodness! I've missed you!" I said hi to everyone but Ross. "Where's Ross?" I asked. Everyone looked worried. "Laura" Riker started. "Ross is in his room, he's been there since the day you left" "What! I've been gone for a year!" I yelled. They nodded. Rydel motioned me towards his door. I knocked quietly. "Go away!" I heard. I opened the door anyway. "I don't want to talk!" he yelled. "Why not?" I asked hiding in the shadows. "Laura?" I heard his voice go soft. I walked out of the shadows. "Hi Ross." I said.

Ross's POV

I stood there shocked. Here she was. The Laura Marano. I jumped up and hugged her. She hugged me back tighter. "I missed you." I said. "I missed you too." she replied softly. "Why Ross? why'd you stay in you're room all this time?!" she said pulling away worried. I sighed. "I don't know." she gave me a look that said 'really?' I laughed with her. I can't believe it. Laura is finally back.
