Siddarths pov
"I want you to sleep in my room tonight" I order
"Ugh...no...It's fine. We shouldn't...." She trails off
"Why not Nisha? We are married right?" I say
"It just dosen't feel right. Don't worry, I'll be fine sleeping here" She says sitting back on the couch
"No, I insist" I plead trying not to lose my cool
It is silent for a second, and I sense tension in her face. She slowly nods and follows me to my room, tightly gripping her pillow.
"Here we are" I say opening the door
Nisha looks around my room, like a child who is seeing snow for the first time. She had only ever been in here once - the night of our marriage. Even then, she hadn't slept on my bed, instead I had made her sleep on the couch (a decision I regret till this day)
"We better sleep now. It's been a long night" I say flexing my back
"Mmmm" She mutters walking towards the couch in the corner of my room
"Nisha!" I call
"I'll sleep here don't worry" She says with a small smile
"No, I don't want you to sleep there" I say
"B-But last time...." She mutters
"Look. That was a month ago. Things have changed now. I admit I was stupid for treating you like that, but you have to understand how angered and sad I was after our marriage. But I want to change things now" I say looking deep into her sorrowful eyes
"Okay Siddharth" She says climbing up onto my bed - correction - our bed
She gently places her head on the pillow, and sleeps facing away from me.
"Good night Nisha" I whisper
"Good night" She mumbles
Nisha's pov
I can't believe Siddharth is asking me to sleep with him after all these days - and I don't know how to feel about that.
Should I be happy that my husband finally wants to share a bed with me?
Or worried about whats to come.
In saying that, Siddharth has changed. I don't know if this change is just temporary, but his sweetness and courage he showed today is making me see him in a new light. All this time I have seen him as my enemy, but today - things have changed. After the party, when he dashed out, I was deeply hurt by his arrogance and the way he was treating Armit. But he still came back for me - even saving me from those goons. I was - and still am - tormented by the incident - however Siddharth gave me a shoulder to cry on. The way he nestled me in his warm arms when I hugged him made me feel so safe. He assured me that he will never leave my side again - and I hope that's true. In saying that, I don't know if I can completely trust Siddharth after all he has done, but I will give him a chance. A chance to prove his worth.
He leads me up to his room, which is exactly like it was the last time I was here - elegant, tidy and classy.
"Here we are" He says
I walk up towards the couch and begin placing my pillow there.
"Nisha!" Siddharth yells
I turn back to a disappointed Siddharth. Of course he wants me to sleep on his bed, but its time I played hard to get.
